I fight with my mom all day about going to a concert tonight, she finally agrees, i go just to see one band (not the headliner, one of the openers) and they dont play!!! my whole argument that i wanted to see this band is shot to hell now AND i have buyers remorse because the other opening act was allright so i bought a cd and t shirt (20$ for both) and now, at home the band kinda sucks, and if the band sucks the bandshirt sucks harder. I could try to pawn them off on a dumbass freshman, but then where will that leave me huh? Bad day. Also I ate dinner WAAAAYY too late and now my intestines are threatening to kill me and my stomach is threatening to help. Im nauseous and my girlfriend is mad at me.
show sucked
i hate punk kids with foot long mohawks
i hate cracked out crackheads who try to talk to me at punk shows
i hate bands that sound alright live but whose cd sucks and
their shirt therefore sucks
and i hate that this thread is going to survive only because of being flamed by people who say that this doesnt belong here (mmmm, a big steaming pile of irony)
and i hate sonics delicious grilled chicken wraps which are neither chicken nor wraps.
Yeah thats a hurting night to say the least...

*Shhhhhhhh!* Little does he know, he does have cancer, but you could really pick a better day to tell him!

People have never died of bad music on Earth? Wow. You guys must have some sort of hardcore psychological immunities or something.

At least you got to go to a concert, I wasn't allowed to go to concerts at all when I was a kid.

Booooohooo. You shouldn't listen to emo. This is what you get from it.
And on a more personal note. I just returned from Groezrock in Meerhout, Belgium. Amazing. And there were punks and crackheads and i had a good time.
At least you got to go to a concert, I wasn't allowed to go to concerts at all when I was a kid.
I was, but all of the decent concerts were for ages 18+, so I had to settle for shitty local bands. :(
I missed Queens of the Stone Age's last tour with Nick Oliveri, because I was three months too young. GAH!

Most bands sound better live than they do on CD, unless the performance calls for strong vocals, which are hard to replicate.

One reason why the Hives are so good live.

Eh? WTF. I've been going to concerts since I was like 11... But most of the time I've been too poor... And my cousin went to Skunk Anansie at like 9 with his dad. That's what yu get for having a rocker dad though... :p
Maybe the laws are different in Victoria... In NSW most (other than the ones at pubs) are all ages.

The laws are different, somehow, or maybe it was just the venue. QOTSA's shows in all other states were all-ages, I remember noticing at the time that it was just Victoria that missed out. :(
Meh. I've never been to a concert, and I won't be going to any for quite some time. I'm not gonna go to one with my dad!

Heh, my dad has half decent taste in music. He listens to... Indian music (classical, mainly qawwali and pop... *don't ask*) and classic rock type stuff.
I think Roger Daltrey is touring... I can see him getting all excited.
Well at least you can strip the t-shirt and use it for rags or something.
Roger Daltrey kicks ass.
...My dad's a Jimmy Buffett person. Yeeeeah.

There's a Live song that goes:
"Should have come to the show,
but you didn't now you're wishing that you had
had to go to Jimmy Buffett with your dad."
How apt.

How awesome, I wish I could've seen Skunk Anansie.
Incidentally, I was allowed to go to concerts when I was 14. Perhaps I could've gone earlier, but I wasn't interested then.
