I've been waiting patiently for The Military Channel to start up on cable. They keep showing all these ads for the programs it's going to show, and there are a lot of them I'd love to see. But do they offer it in this area on cable? Nooo! WTF, over?

I wanna complain about this, but the people who answer the telephones at Time/Warner can only say, "It's not available in your area." Why is that? To whom do I complain about this? Argh!

Assuming its the same channel...I think its from Discovery. I have it! YAY SATELLITE!

Because your company is too cheap to add it to thier programming. (I'm not a big fan of cable companies, they won't even run a line to my house.)

You have to call your cable company. and keep calling and get as many people as you can in your area to call, write, email, etc.

You still probably won't get it but at least you'll give them a headache.

They also have previews I think on history international.

Gee you mean you don't see enough documentaries about WWII on Discovery and History? My nephews now call them the "Hitler Channels", because anytime of the day or night you're going to have at least one documentary on WWII.

Well, that's true, but it looks like The Military Channel will be more current and will even have programs about "future warfare."

Yeah I bet. It'll be the same a Discovery and History and Wings and all their variants. Within six months you'll have seen everything they have which will be a little original programming and a lot of stuff bought from all the other channels.

I swear to God, if they cut the shopping networks, TV evangelicals and reruns they could condence cable to twelve channels and change.

LOL! Unfortunately, there's truth in what you say. The SciFi channel just got done running what they called "Mini-Series Month," which showed all the mini-series they had previously shown over the past year or so! Wheee. :rolleyes:

Take a look at some of the satellite companies and see if they offer what you want. Cable companies don't change their line-up unless a lot of people complain about the absense of a new channel. So it's either switch to sattelite or post the phone number of your local time warner office and ask kind hearted (or malicious) NSers to call them up and say that they live in your area and want the millitary channel.

That's because all SciFi has to their name is Stargate now. Everything else they air is their SciFi Original crappy movies and old science fiction shows like Star Trek and The Outer Limits. All they CAN show are their old mini-series.

You talk to the people who controll your city/village/town and ask them to put it on the agenda. I think there might be some digging involved and a howl lot of other stuff too. If they refuse then you should gather signatures from people in your area and send it in. If that fails then you can allways protest.
