I have nothing to do for the next two hours so to kill time I will start this thread.
Ask me anything about my island nation, you can ask ANYTHING you want. Politics, Leaders, History, Government, Life in general, School, Night life, Countryside, Highest point, Capital, Religion etc. you get the picture.
The nation is the Republic of Iceland.

I'd like to know if you have any other fine beers besides Guinness?
Haven't you already done this once before?

You are probably thinking about Ireland there but yes we do have fine Icelandic beers like Egils Gull, Thule and Víking Gull.

Like I said, I have nothing else to do so if you want to ask just ask but if you have nothing you want to ask then just let the thread be.

You and all the other outsiders would find it cold or freezing depending on were you are from but the summers are mild and nice. It's an Arctic nation so it kind of goes without saying. The name is misleading as it was originaly meant to do, we have glaciers but the island is not all under ice.

Is it true that you ride polar bears to work instead of automobiles, and that you people make most of your money by attacking and plundering defenseless seaside communities on continental Europe? Do you guys actually wear horned helmets when you go raiding?

It's all true except for the polar bear part. We don't have many polar bears here and the ones that we do have here come here from Greenland on icebergs or by swimming.

Iceland is considered part of Europe although it's closer to America, but it actually is neither since it doesn't sit on a continental plate and it was formed by the mountain range separating them. Shouldn't Iceland be its own continent? How do Icelanders feel about this?

Iceland is on both the American and European continents. For political reasons we are a part of Europe but we do not think of ourselfs as being Europeans or Americans (As we are on the North American continent too, not American as in U.S.). If we are asked about were our nation is located, thats is on what continent we are, we say that we are an Arctic nation.

Why are you lying? We import polar bears on a massive scale to keep as pets. My upstairs neighbor has two. I can hear them right now
What percentage of your population believe in fairies or elves?
Is wood expensive there? Do you burn dried fish-guts to keep warm?
Are your people moving towards more mainstream last names?
Is there enough sunlight there to maintain a year-round greenhouse without an external heat source?
How much of your butter is imported?
Is it difficult to immigrate to Iceland?
Are any cities endangered by volcanic activity?
Does Iceland have a glass-making industry?
How expensive are prime cuts of beef there? Specifically my favorites, the rib-eye and porterhouse steaks?
That's enough for now - but I have a lot more. Thanks.
