Eh, he didn't consent? And I quote

Under Norwegian law, all sexual acts with someone who is "unconscious or for other reasons unable to oppose the act" are considered rape.

Simple, really... If you want, I can look up the actual paragraph (albeit in Norwegian)...

I don't see why it's shocking when a woman rapes a man, but when a man rapes a woman, it's viewed s more common. I mean, true, most men are stronger than most women, but still, it's possible for the woman to get the man into a position where he can't avoid it. And if he just used force to stop her, she'd claim she was being abused, and it'd be her word against his, and we all know who'd win that battle. I need some rum or something...

I think that is should be possible for a woman to be convicted of rape, but I would imagine such a scenario as say, I dunno, her yanking his cock while jamming a wine bottle up has ass ... and so on.

This case really does not sound that bad. It seems to be one of those cases where the 'victim' sees an opportunity to make some money.

I heard of instances where supposedly female prisoners had taken pencils and shoved them in male gaurdsmens peni (come on that's gotta be the plural for penis) to simulate an erection and raped these gaurds. prolly just an urban legend though.

The proper plural in Latin would be "penes", but "penises" is commonly accepted.

It's just as much of a violation of a man's rights to be forced to have sex without his consent. I imagine if it were a woman, there would be no controversy, but the stereotype that all men are sex-starved horny teenagers makes people dismiss this.

I still think peni should be the plural form.

Yes, its a stereotype but has its roots in reality. As a man I have very few male friends because I can't stand the constant talk about T&A from the MAJORITY of guys I have attempted to make friends with. I know women have a tendency to do much of the same but on a mmuch much smaller scale.

Very true, but I think it deserves scrutiny, because lets face it - wouldnt you expect more guys to enjoy waking up to some stranger giving him a bj than women. I'm betting that no women at all woudl enjoy this (maybe 1 out of a million) but theres a much larger number of guys who wouldn't mind and in fact would hope for such an occurance?

Well, since most women don't have the equipment to get a blowjob...

Point is moot. It isn't about what most people would want. It is about the fact that this man did not, pressed charges, and was justly validated by law instead of being told he should have considered himself lucky.

Well, yeah, if I was walking down the street and some beautiful Italian girl came up to me and asked if she could give me a blowjob, I'd say sure, in a heartbeat. If that was the case my post would have been the same. I think the man had the right to press charges here, as a woman would, but in a case where the rape was not at all violent as most rapes are, I don't see why they would be damaged.

But when have you ever heard of a woman being 'raped' by a man who did nothing more than deliver oral sex?

Providing you're intellectually consistent, it's all good.

I think to judge this case based on the logic that "Well, all guys everywhere want sex all the time, so this particular guy in this case obviously didn't mind this woman having sex with him without consent" is a mistake, though.

Most likely I'd say "no thanks". It depends on the situation. If this was a girl I had been hitting on earlier or had my eye on, then probably I wouldn't have objected.
But there are many things we don't know. This guy could have been in a relationship, he might have turned her down at some point before he fell asleep, she might have an STD that he knew about...Who knows?

... she might have an STD that he knew about...i think you canNOT get aIDS that way...

then again they say a lot of things...(e.g. masturbate and you will become blind, etc)

Not all STDs are AIDS. He could get herpes, for example.

You can...But it's unlikely.

i'm guessing your a woman.
i dont know any guy who would stop her if no one found out and she didn't have an STD
i quoted this one because of the general attitude not to single out clubhouse

you guys are thinking about SEX not RAPE. to assume that the man woke up to some excellent fellatio is rather naive isnt it?

they didnt give details. it was probably not PLEASANT. that they called it oral sex doesnt mean that it was nice. it may well have been painful or humiliating. it doesnt even mean that he was erect at the time. think of the worst way to wake up with your penis in a womans mouth not the best. thats rape.

or he may just not like being taken advantage of.

Ok, but you can still catch some nasty things that way. But that was only one of my points.

What would you do in such a situation?

If it were "penus", then the Latin plural might be "penii", but that's about as close as you'd get.

If it were penus the plural would be peni. It would only be penii if the singular was penius.

:) Four years of Latin and sad to say I don't remember much more than that. I wish I'd kept it up.

That case sounds like a special situation too. I think it's impossible to say without knowing more.

Spontaneous fellatio from a beautiful woman never happens to a single lonely male who would appreciate the most. Only people who press charges.

It seems half the people here are having a problem with the idea of a man being raped. It can and it does happen. I know a male that was raped and I was able to stop another one from being raped one night when he was so drunk he couldn't move. Had to pull the chick off and hand her to a friend to hold her until I could drag him out of there. She tired to get the guy I handed her off to.

Males can be tied down, drunk, not as strong in some cases, passed out, etc... Male rape may not happen as often as female rape but it does happen and we need to start being surprised about it and have it acknowledged as fact or women will continue to get away with it. Men that have it happen to them are less likely to speak of it because of the stereotypes and assumptions around it, but it occurs.

All it should take is saying no. Even if the equipment is ready and willing it does not mean the person is.
