I have an interview later today for a new job. Never had an interview before, so I'm a little nervous. But I really want this job! Oh, well I'll see how it goes :)

Remember, when they ask 'Where do you see yourself in 5 years?' tell them 'In that seat interviewing people'. They never get sick of that one.

I know how nerve-wrecking interviews can be, especially when you're really keen on the job in question, but I'm sure you'll be grand. Best of luck!

What kind of job is it?

If they ask you what's your biggest flaw, say you're a perfectionist.

Good luck and hope the interviewers are not members of Spanish Inquisition.
Don't get depressed if you don't get the job either. I've done many job interviews, and the first ones are worst.

Good luck on the interview. If you feel a little nervous don't hesitate to down 4 or 5 double shots of tequila before the interview. Management likes people who are relaxed and confident enough to come to an interview reeking of liquor and visibly drunk.

:fluffle: Thanks everyone!

The job's pretty cool, although it's just for the summer. I'll be working at an organization that is attempting to get Utilities in Illinois (US) to have a certain portion of their energy from cleaner sources (like wind and solar). I've got a couple more hours before the interview, but it's like as the time comes closer, I just get more nervous. I know it's not that big a deal, and I'm making way more out of it than it really is, it's just that I want the job. I think it'll be much better than like McDonalds, or Starbucks, or whatever else. (That is not an insult to those who do work at these places, I'm just saying the job itself is not entirely captivating.) Thanks again everyone...I definitely have on shoes, pants, I think I'll leave the tequila at home...now, am I missing anything?

You don't sound old enough to drink alcohol.

I'll have to confiscate that to make sure it's real alcohol.

wash your face
take one of those breath strip things just before you go in
remember to shake his/her hand at the end and thank them for the interview
and follow up with a letter.

good luck, it sounds like a great summer job.
