WHY, you ask? BECAUSE NOONE CAN SPELL IT! I can't even spell it! Is it noone, noöne, no-one or no one? I can't decide and noone will tell me! I've spelled it as noone because I'm lazy. RECTIFY THE SITUATION!

Okay, so I voted for no one, but I've got the feeling that noone led to none?
Although - nobody isn't spelled no body either (that's kind of spooky, disembodied, ghostly, right?)
Hah! Nobody...

OK, I looked it up. It's two words, no hyphen: "no one".

"none" is from "not one."
noone might be the worst word if it was a word.
Noone is a worse last name than a bad word. There's a guy who works at our uni whose last name is Noone, but it's pronounced "noon-ay"

Microsoft Word, set to UK English, says that 'noone' is a typo. If you try to say 'no-one' it doesn't say it's a spelling error, but it does highlight it as a grammatical error and suggests that you use 'no one' instead. I always say no-one, but there you go -- I guess it's no one. It doesn't really matter, I suppose, as long as it's clear what you're trying to say.

BUP BUP BUP!! UK English doesn't count either, since crumpets are tools of the DEVIL! Set it to US English and TRY AGAIN!

Defeating the purpose of the conversation here, people =P It's no one. Grammatically anyway. You can type it however you like if you don't care about that. After all, me and Ellen went to the store yesterday...

You mean "simplified." No, I do like the spelling of many UK English words, but overall the spelling system in English is idiotic and due for an overhaul. We need some new letters, at least. I particularly enjoy Thorn and Eth, not to mention a whole slew of umlauted vowels. Wynn is nice too, but wholly unnessicary. Yogh could be useful for Jews such as myself...
No one knows what I'm talking about, do you?

AND we need some new pronouns, to top it all off! What ever happened to thou and ye? You is actually the second person plural pronoun! It's as if you treat everyone you know like a MPD patient!
WE NEED A SECOND PERSON SINGULAR PRONOUN. Or a plural one, since "you" seems to have shifted into the singular...
Ya'll is an abomination.

Or is it y'all? It should be y'all, shouldn't it?
