This man? There'd be no rioting under this guy! (http://www.newgenevacenter.org/portrait/stalin.jpg)
Or this one? Certainly charismatic, and look at that sexeh moustache! (http://www.soldat.com/Kunst%20Hitler.jpg)
Or maybe this one? At least the trains would be on time! (http://www.diggerhistory.info/images/leaders/mussolini.jpg)

The point was that this thread was pointless. Post in the other one, or at least give this one a different name.
I suppose the pics were supposed to show something about looks meaning sod all, as even sick bastards like Hitler and Stalin could be made to look good, while fairly respectable people such as Michael Howard and Tony Blair can be made to look like utter twerps or bastards. At least say what has been wrong with the last eight years (in the other thread) before creating a defunct thread.
I think. Um.

Brilliant. Next time I'll run for Prime Minister. I'll promise everyone that I'll sort out the NHS and the train system, and the education, and public transportation, and the rest of England, then sit back, pour tonnes of money into the NHS and watch it fall into the black hole, watch as another train derails and goes into a waiting room because of a loose bolt in the track, and laugh as train times go even further behind schedule than ever. Great idea!

As opposed to electing a Tory who'd do the same anyway.
Yeah, you have no clue about British politics.

Nice, resorting to insults, the last resort of the desperate?
Lets compare.....
As opposed to electing a Tory who'd do the same anyway.
Versus what I say
As opposed to electing Labour again, who have already done that
Frankly, the Tories haven't screwed up yet, Labour have spent the last eight years doing nothing but that. Give them a chance, they can't f*ck it up any worse than Labour did.

NEVER say something can't be screwed up any more. That's just asking for something bad to happen.

Hahahaha!
What do you think the Tories did in their 4 terms before New Labour were elected?! Most of today's problems are inherited from them. From the total lack of investment in the NHS and the constant meddling and addition of beaurocracy, to the disaster that was railway privatisation that even Thatcher admitted was a disaster. The Tories have done more damage to this country than Hitler's bombers ever did, and the public isn't going to forgive them for a long time.

Yes they can. They could lead us into a recession. The tories may have started the growth period, but labour managed to sustain it for longer than any other nation in the EU or Americas. Bring the tories back and there is a good chance that either by their own fault, or just the way that market forces work, they could have a recession in their first term.

I wouldn't trust Labour with the trains any more than I would private companies. As for the NHS, Labour have spent billions of pounds a year trying to improve the NHS, to no avail, they've just f*cked it up more than ever.

The NHS has improved greatly in the last few years - I've spent enough time in hospitals to see this for myself. Of course, in an organisation as massive as the NHS any progress is going to be slow, but it is certainly improving. You shouldn't buy too much into the scaremongering propogated by the media.

Hmm...
From 1997:
27,000 extra doctors, almost 80,000 extra nurses, operation waiting times halved, down from 18 months to 9 months, A&E waiting times down from 12 hours to 4 hours. Death rates from heart disease are down 27%, and from cancer 12%.
Wow, that sure is a f*cked up NHS. Someone get the Tories, quick.

I wouldn't trust Labour with the trains any more than I would private companies. Which part of the trains? The privatised operations side of the Railways is actually doing quite well so far. And besides, privatisation of both Infrastructure and operations was carried out by the Tories in 1996, so you can't complain about private firms. As for the NHS, Labour have spent billions of pounds a year trying to improve the NHS, to no avail, they've just f*cked it up more than ever.Could the Tories have done any better? They promised to cean up the Health Service too, and that was also a complete failure. The tories pick on areas where Labour is struggling, then claim to be able to fix it as if there was some quick fix solution that Labour have 'accidentally' overlooked. Bullshit. The tories will be able to do sod all with the NHS, at least the side that us poorer folk would use.
