Can we, as a whole, move off of Gays/religion/evolution, and talk about normal stuff, like movies, games, music, school, stupid people(not me), and about 5 million other topics.

I dont know about you, but I have had enough with some of these "issues" we have been talking about. Enough is enough, i know some of you agree with me.
We've all expressed our opinions on most topics and guess what? nobody care what you have to say about religion. Its driving me crazy.

I'll start us off ok. FAMILY GUY, new episodes May 1st, i can't beleive it, maybe if this works fox will bring back other shows they cancelled.

78% of all newbies make this very same thread. I did it when I first got here and cant believe it now when I read one of them. You wil get used to it. Just stick to threads that interest you and dont let it bother you. It may seem pointless I know to continue the battle on the same subjects, but you never know......enough talking and discussing and the stirring of the minds, might just help someone to see things in a perspective that they may never thought possible. I for one have learned a lot of things from reading certain threads. There are quite a few folks who just wish to argue yes, but there are some super intelligent people on this forum.....so tough it out til the new wears off. Welcome to NS btw. :)

As long as everyone else agrees that homosexuality is a personal choice that cannot have seperate yet equal protection by government, religion is a crock, and evolution is true. Only then will I move on.

Assuming I understand what you mean... Homosexuality has no right or wrong answer. There is no way that Homosexuality can be right or wrong, because that definition simply doesnt fit with it, either way. Religion is untrue(all forms of it), though, and evolution is what has happened. These things are either right or wrong, there is a concrete answer.

Well, I like talking about politics and poltical issues. Besides, that's what the forums are for. If you want to talk about "normal" things, start a thread about it.

I am sick and tired of being forced to read threads that I find boring. Sometimes I must go back and read them twice - just to make sure that I find them uninteresting. Then, when I am completely certain that a thread does not interest me, I post a comment about that thread, thus assuring that it will remain on the front page longer. What is even more boring is my disinterested comments on uninteresting posts and the questioning of their banality and my own disinterestedness.

Because I believe there is sufficient evidence to believe in evolution, while there isnt enough to believe in religion.

I like the issues and I hate family. So sue me...

If the thread had been named "Excited about new Family Guy episodes", it might have been full of posts about Stewie, and about whether the son on American Dad is just a rehash of Meg's geeky AV club friend on Family guy.

But since it started off with "I don't care about gays/politics/evolution", now thats what people are talking about. Is that irony? :)

I'm all for getting off of the Gays/Religion/Evolution stuff. We need to go with some of the things he suggested, as well as philosophy, economics and the like.
