Simple question, really. What do you wanna do with your life when you graduate high school/college?

For me, well, I can't decide. I'm between things right now.

Hmmm...
Well, I'll be a doctor... I'm not sure what I'll specialise in. Definitely not surgery, so it's either physician or general practice training for me. Maybe paediatrics. If I don't get into the training program first time round I'd like to do an MD.

Some time before I'm 30 (if it's possible) my partner and I would like to have kids, possibly two biological and adopt one. We'll need to buy a house. *faints at house prices in Sydney* I think we may settle in Melbourne...

Yeah, I guess that's the basic plan...

Sounds good, except for the house prices! Oh, and surgery... Gross. I can see why you don't wanna do that.

And Bodhis --- Grad school? :D

After high school: I'd like to go to a large college, well-known in the journalism community and near a large city. While at said college, I'd study news journalism, of course, while having a fun time being on my own for a while. Ideally, I'd still be with my current boyfriend--but it'd be long distance, so I don't know about that.

After college: I'd want to go into news journalism, hopefully with a well-known paper. Hopefully, I'd move up in the business, and eventually become an editor. Maybe I'd write a few fiction books--I adore writing, and everyone tells me I'm rather good at it. I'd also like to get married, and eventually have a family.

I would also like to go into politics at some point, but I've been told I'm too honest for that, and I'm inclined to agree. ^^

I don't know what I want to be, but I seem to be headed towards education.

Same here, though I seem to be headed towards... Well, I'm really not sure.

I'm looking to major in Political Science, Journalism and Economics, then either write for a newspaper or go into politics...leaning politics at the moment. :D

Don't know. I can't think of a single feasible occupation that would interest me.

I thought about signing for something like the Red Cross once i'm done and working in developing countries, but i'll probably end up getting killed or something possibly worse.

Thought politics for a while, but then i'd have to conform to party politics, and just be another cog in the machine that goes nowhere. And besides, i'd need to study Law anyway, most likely, throwing another 3 years onto my degree and over $20,000 in debt (or thereabouts, not sure exactly).

I'm planning to major in some aeronautical and aerospace fields and start my own custom aircraft and vessel fabrication company. I also intend to look into ways of obtaining technology that seems improbable and make it reality despite the cost or the man hours.

Holy shit, man. There's a buttload of money in the Aircraft industry. Best of luck, damnit!

I'm studying economics and politics at the moment as an undergraduate. I'm going to move on to study international law, then apply with the Department of State and the United Nations. I'm not sure if I should move in with my dad in China and do something private-sector in Shanghai, though.

Why thank you, and I hope you decide what you want to eventually do. What are your choices so far if any?

Simple question, really. What do you wanna do with your life when you graduate high school/college?

I'm currently majoring in philosophy, with emphasis in religion and politics. I want to write and become a senator. If neither of those work out for a paying career any time soon, I want to teach history.

Currently studying in RMIT Metropolitan Malaysia (the Malaysian branch of Rmit Uni Melbourne).

Soon I'll be going over next year. Then after I graduate in Econs and Finance probably get a job in bank, securities or along those lines. I probably want to work about 3-5 years for experience. Get my PR at least, maybe Citizenship before I retire.

Then probably start my own company or help my dad/brothers company back here in Malaysia. We are currently in the field of waste management. We hope to get some government grants and businesses to clean up Malaysia.

As it is currently, Malaysia is still good for business, politically and economically rather stable as long as the country stops suiciding itself with the Rm3.8 to the Dollar peg and the fundamentalist Muslim political party, PAS, keeps on degenerating with their 'hudud and apostacy laws' (Women must wear headscarfs and Muslims that change religion can be executed).

Once we make our money, we'll probably go international. This is probably wishful thinking. But hey, at least I have a dream and a goal to fight and work for.

currently i'm studying Politics BSc at uni, but i think i'm gonna quit and do something else. dunno what yet.
i want to go live in Amsterdam and work in a coffeeshop (or preferably own my own;)). alternatively i have a good sense of taste and i love food, so many people have said i could be a cook/chef, or a food critic (w00t free meals!). i'd love to be a writer/novelist but, lets face it, everybody does and nobody gets anywhere with it (well, hardly anybody)

i'm undecided and confused at the moment. all i know is that uni is not right for me - uni is making me quite depressed and unhappy, so why am i continuing there? maybe i'm not ready, maybe i'm just not cut out for academia, i dunno, but i gotta try something different

Well, I wanted to go into pharmacy, but the way organic chem treated my GPA I sort of doubt that'll be happening any time soon. I'm really not sure what I'm going to do if pharmacy doesn't work. Maybe look into something regarding forensics - completely vague idea as of now, though.

I wanted to go into politics before I decided that my need to change gender was overpowering... I might still go into politics, but I'm not entirely sure. Idealism is a fine thing, but a waste of time helps nobody. Still... there is one in new zealand, heh.

At the moment, I plan to be an ancient historian/author (that's author of historical analysis and fiction. particularly sci-fi.) Because I enjoy reading about history, and writing. So hopefully I'd enjoy doing both professionally.

What do I want to do?

Well, what I really want to do now that I am free from High School is go to ITT Tech and get my bachelors in Game Design, and from their start my own game company, maybe produce a nation states game with Max Berry's approval. Get married, have kids, buy a house, they are all in there too, but they are not my chief concerns.

As for what I am doing? That is a whole different ballpark. I joined the United States Air Force, been doing that for almost two years now. yeah...

George Beyer went to the same high school as me, although a few decades before I did. I don't know if that had anything to do with him deciding to become Georgina Beyer or to join the labour party.

Once I'm done with HS I hope to get a law degree and then work for a few years as a commercial lawyer in some large firm. Then eventually I plan to return to university and get a MBA or engage in some other postgraduate study. From there I'd like to get into business. Ultimately I'd like to be at the head of a large corporation and wealthy! Ideally I'd also like to get married and have a family etc.

I'm keeping politics in mind also. EDIT: Prime Minister of New Zealand sounds good.
