Should New York, New York get more baseball teams?

I definetely think they should, start with adding one in Brooklyn, one in Manhattan, and one somewhere else in New York, the Mets already inhabit Long Island, and The Yankees have the Bronx.

Adding three teams would benefit the econemy also, and the Manhattan team would beat the Yankees, because they would get more income.

I already have two names! The Manhatten Bagels, and the Brooklyn Deli's. Try saying Brooklyn Delis, it sounds awesome!

There werethree teams for a while, then two, then one, and then two again.

How much do you want? I live in the New York area, and I think 2 is fine. And if that's not enough, the Phillies, Pirates, and Red Sox are all easily accessible.

-edit- there are also countless minor league teams not only in the city, but in New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut. All within two hours.

I live in Philly, and I can say, as a devoted Phillies phan, that the Phillies, blow. Yes, they suck, and they do nothing to get any better. Now Pittsburgh is 5 hours away, so from NY its about 8 or 7 hours away, its a shorter trip to get to the Orioles. But this isnt about being able to see games, its about making baseball the best again. I am so sick of football, dominating the US sports pages. Im sick of hearing drunk Eagles fans at Phillies games saying EA-GL-ES EAGLES!!! Football is fine, until it breaches baseball popularity, than it becomes a nusance.

First off, the Mets play in Queens, not Long Island...though a team in Brooklyn or maybe Long Island might not bee too terribly bad. That is, if MLB were to add two more teams, which they ought to look at doing. Other possible locations for a 32nd team are Charlotte, NC, Indianapolis, IN, and maybe Jacksonville, FL. Just ideas. If MLB wants to stand pat at 30 teams they should leave well enough alone, though they pulled a rabbit out of their collective hat moving the Expos to D.C.

New York already had the Dodgers and the Giants, and they both left town. I think two is enough for the city. Besides, baseball is looking to contract, not expand.

I don't like football (armored pigskin chucking) in general; I think we need to adopt real football, or rugby, or something.

And I think 2 teams each in places like NYC/LA/Chicago is enough.
