Very good question. I've noticed they also seem to be less interested in what people think of them and "normal". But then, the french horn is an unusual instrument.

Well, I don't know personally, and it would probably help if you said if you were in college or if this was for high school UIL stuff. I can check around for ya. I have a TON of music major buddies that would know.

I disagree. Trombones double us on just about everything. Although...you can't have a brass quintet without a French Horn player and a Trombone player. That means no Pentabrass or Canadian Brass.

As for my level of music, I am in high school.

I say join the band because lots of mischief happens on band trips in high school. You can get a full sex education by being in the band. I wish I had been in band. almost.

I'm in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma. I'm glad I seem European though. Better than being called a hick. I haven't always lived here though. The first part of my life was in Washington state. I love the west coast <3

It is called the french horn becuase an article appeared in an English news paper, right as the horn was breaking on to the scene, readin "Two French Horn Players....", meaning horn players from france, not players of the french horn.[/random worthless music major knowledge]
