Brain is not really that bad. As I understand it, it is quite rich in minerals and tastes ok (although I have never actually tried brain.) The problem with brain is that it is notorious for spreading disease to humans (especially sheep brain.) Same goes for the eyes of many animals, which are indeed also eaten.
