Comedian?
My favorite would have to be George Carlin. Nobody beats him for all-time best, but i do also like Brian Reagan, Lewis Black, John Pinnette, jeff foxworthy, bill engvall, ron white, and nick diapola.

I saw him in Portland a few months ago. I shook his hand. Can't believe he died. Weird.

You mean his extremely un-funny, over-used, tasteless, and ultimately boring "delivery" of "sarcasm"?

He's a Scotsman. Guess he's more popular in the UK and over here than in the States.

Hey Potaria, do you think Pootie Tang would make a good comedian? I think he would because all he has to say is some type of gibberish and people would laugh. It would be SO cool being him, damn it!

I don't agree with his "politics", and I don't think that he's the least bit funny (many, many people don't).

Why did I say "politics"? He's a poser. He switched sides to get a wider audience, because his crappy comedy wasn't working for those of us on the left.

Phil Hartman
Rowan Atkinson
The Monty Python gang
George Carlin

I really think a lot of the old time comedians are (or were) very funny. That fast paced, off the cuff funny stuff just slays me.

Don Rickles
Milton Berle
Jonathan Winters
Buddy Hackett
Bill Cosby
Red Skelton

Now that guy was Class. He was on the Late Late Show with Craig Kilborn a few years back, and he totally stole Craig's thunder (Craig got uneasy about it!). It's a damn shame that he's dead.

Tripod. For those of you who don't know of them, bah! Don't touch me!

At the moment, I love Ross Noble. Bloody hysterical! I saw Maria Bamford at the Melbourne Comedy Festival a few weeks ago, and she was brilliant! The impersonation she does of her dog is priceless!!
