MORDOR SPONSORS "GLOBAL TREASURE HUNT 6!"
The fine nations of Treasure Island are happy to announce the start of the sixth Global NS Treasure Hunt for 2005! The Global Treasure Hunt is an NS favorite, and participants from all over the globe are looking forward to competing again in this year's sixth exciting competition. GTH 6 is being sponsored by the wonderful nations of the region of MORDOR, and promises to be the most exciting and challenging Hunt yet!
For those who have not participated in previous Treasure Hunts, it works pretty well and is great fun. Here's how it's done:
A message is left somewhere in a remote region of NS. This message provides information which will lead to a prize for the first nation to find it and post it in the PRIZE region. You must create a HUNTER nation (a puppet of your choice) and use that nation to move from region to region after solving each clue. This is the proof of your participation.
The kicker: You must solve clues left in various regions to find the MESSAGE, and then you must be the first to post the message in the PRIZE region once you solve the clues and copy what you've found.
The prize can be one of several things; a link to a download of your choice (we will pay for it---$50.00 bucks or less, folx (smile)), a link to a "special" site [tee hee], or a new car.
O.K., no new car. But you get the idea, yes?
Create your puppet with the prefix "HUNTER" (e.g., The Theocracy of HUNTER JIM,) and then move it to the starter region TREASURE ISLAND.
The first clue will be placed in TI TODAY, SATURDAY, APRIL 23RD, at 2:00 p.m. EST / 7:00 P.M. GMT ( for those requiring time conversions, check http://www.timezoneconverter.com/cgi-bin/tzc.tzc. That will allow everyone an opportunity to begin the Hunt at the same time.
