Other then that, NS lately, trying to write a book with RP`s (like a series of novels telling the evolution of a state, beggining with a small family that migrated in this land, and following that familly through the ages untill one of its descendants becomes ruler of that country some 1000 years later; will take a while untill i finish it though), beggining to learn some latin too lately (not sure how it will go; seems hard enough)
Also, playing a soccer manager online (text-based) called Hattrick.
That sounds about it for my current hobbies.

Now that sounds like fun. Are you teaching or practicing? Are you on a military pistol team?
I'll find out later.
For those youngsters out there, this is how an old man spends his Friday evenings. When it's convenient, we play Bridge with some neighbors. Sometimes just another couple, sometimes three others. Tonight, just our next door neighbors.
Sounds dull, but the card games get to be fun when they are close. Plus, I get to drink bourbon and eat Raisinettes. Best of all, I can refer to my wife as the "dummy" from time to time.

I like trains, too. That's why I'm building a steam engine. It's something fun to do, now that the kids are mostly out of the house and it isn't as annoying to my wife as the banjo is. I usually reserve my sessions with the banjo for times when she is away for a couple hours. I've seen some brass mutes that are supposed to work pretty well.

Cool. I tried to shoot on the USMC rifle team when I was stationed at Cherry Point, NC. Didn't make it the first couple times. Finally did and I got orders to NAS Whidbey. Doesn't it always seem to work out that way.
I've been trying to shoot at some NRA matches locally, but I've had a hard time with the Garand. I think I'll look into one of the CMP AR-15s. They seem to be subsidized pretty heavily and pretty popular, too.

Well I'm not on the forums very often (as may be seen by my post count) which leaves a lot of free time for my two hobbies:
-Competitive swimming which takes 2-3 hours a day and longer on meet days.
-Skateboarding which I only do on weekends because the pool is closed.
Oh and I bike about 2 miles daily to and fro my school and my house. But that's not really a hobby, more of an obligation.

Target shooting when the opportunity presents itself, and I am really good at mirror-work, a type of embroidery mostly seen in India. I also do henna, sometimes I do it on other people. Music, I play tin whistle and know a lot of songs in Irish Gaelic.
Painting, I'm pretty good at painting, and i like sculpture but don't often have a chance to do it, kiln access and all taht. Then there is goign in the yard wiht the scythe, and cutting things down that need cutting down, has the added benefit of scareing the shit out of my scary neighbors.

Out of curiosity, which Renaissance Faires do you like to go to the most? Which states (or countries) have you been to for Renaissance Faires?
I have been to three so far, though I would like to expand my "territory" ;). My first and favorite (though it is the smallest) is the NY Renaissance Festival in Tuxedo, NY. I also love the Maryland Renaissance Festival in Crownsville, though truthfully their jousting field is IMHO MUCH TOO SMALL. (I fear horses crashing through the gate at the end and ending up in spectators' laps.) However, the rest of the grounds are absolutely amazing.
The Pennsylvania Renaissance Faire in Manheim, PA has many things to recommend it. They've an EXCELLENT cast, a lovely site, a Winery on site (so you can buy some great vino on your way out) and it is where my fiance and I met. :) Couple that with the natural beauty of PA "Dutch" country in blazing fall colors and you've a fantastic weekend away.
I go to at least PA and MD every season.

I'm not all that digital in my personal life, so I haven't done much digital photography. Besides, I'm just starting and I have a nice set of tender wheels done. I still need to get the hang of silver soldering so I can make the trucks.
