Truly I cant imagine a truly good cause and a truly evil one, where do you draw the line? I mean if its all gray, how do you give punishment? You did good you did bad, so they even out dont they? I need some opinions.

Well, actually you can justify punishment and laws in a greyscale spectrum. Basically, some stuff is darker than the other stuff. As such, we set a limit to how "dark" we're willing to allow things to get. That kind of works.

What about if I resolved to kill you and your family (I would never, this is a hypothetical example) simply because I could? Seems pretty evil to me.
As for the gray areas in life, just use your best judgement.

whats a cause got to do with punishment? are you suggesting that the ends justify the means? or are you unable to punish people who are not utterly evil?
