Who'd win in a fight?

I pose this question to you, if the three deities got into a brawl who would win? God, Adonai, or Allah?

Adowho?

Adonai is the Hebrew word for the English word God and the Arabic word Allah.

Adowho?

Jehova, Adoniai, El shadai, Yaweh, God, Allah, Etc.

None. If they are all supreme beings to fight would be pointless. It would last eternity, with no one enitity able to better the other. The fight would however, probably break reality to peices... :D

or in a Googlefight, god'd win.

Well first of all God and Adonai are the same being. At least if my memory serves me correctly, so it would probably be a bit of a quit hitting yourself argument. Adonai is used as a substitute to God's true name to show respect for him. Hmm I dont know much about Allah, so I cant pass a judgement. I think a far better match would be.

God
vs.
Greek Gods
vs.
Buddist Gods

This will probably turn into a huge argument though... so...

Me. They'd fail to show up, like they always do.

What happens if an irresistable force meets an immovable wall?

Pretty much the same as the hypothetical question if you found two different Gods and got them to fight, with the same answer:

An inconcivable outcome.

Well they are all the same God. But even if they weren't, the fight would never happen as all of them are the only God. Which means, if they weren't the same and Allah existed, none of the others would. And so for all of them.

What if it's a "Fight Club" situation. All three gods inhabit the same body like Brad Pitt and Ed Norton.

Jesus, obviously. 'Cause they'll never be able to lay him out on the canvas. He'll always be rising back again!

God
vs.
Greek Gods
vs.
Buddist GodsDepends... Purely the superorum (the greek upper-crust deities), then Y-hw-h would win, though Heracles and Apollo would give him a bit of trouble. The whole Greco-Roman pantheon, though, any of the Titans have individually outshone anything from the OT, especially destruction-wise. The NT doesn't have much to it in terms of mighty powers, and Al Qu'ran I haven't read the whole thing.

Pure Buddism is an atheist philosophy, with deities being added on only by later, non-canonical religious sects, so it wouldn't even be in the running.

[Chazz and Rex are testing Chris]
Chazz: Who'd win in a wrestling match, Lemmy or God?
Chris Moore: Lemmy.
[Rex imitates a game show buzzer]
Chris Moore: ... God?
Rex: Wrong, dickhead, trick question. Lemmy *IS* God.

that's all you need to know, really :D

None of the above - god doesn't exist. :D

1. God does exist.
2. No, im not going to prove it because it is impossible.
3. All of those names you just metioned are the same god. I.E. All Abrahamic(?) religions (Chirstianity, Judeasim, Islam) all share the same god, creation story etc. Therefore this argument has no point as all three are the same.

I'm going with Adonai (Assuming adonai is the same thing as old testament Yahweh). The Christian, new testament God is way too benevolent to be very effective in a god-fight. It was a toss up between Allah and Yahweh/Adonai, but Yahweh shoots fire. (Leviticus 10:2)

(Strictly speaking, new testament and old testament God are supposed to be the same, but Judaism doesn't include the new testament, so I'm treating them as seperate deities. Besides, even if the two were the same, the new testament god has adopted a much less belligerant attitude than he had in the old testament. I doubt he would really care for the whole fire-shooting thing anymore.)

(By the way, I don't actually believe in any of these deities, so technically none of them would win in a fight.)

in a fight between any two gods at all, Lemmy would win. Now stop arguing and watch Airheads or a Motörhead DVD ... I know I will :D
