What haunts you? What makes you sabotage yourself?

I'm going trough one of my periodice self-evaluations ( God alone knows why! ), and realized not for the first time, that I have a tendency to sometimes sabotage myself. For example, if I have a job that bores me ( and I have had several ), I'll start doing things that will either get me in trouble or things that will get me labeled as a bit of a nut or "strange."

Anyone else have this sort of thing happen to them?

oh wow, I do the exact same thing. The only thing that keeps me in line at work once I become bored with it is fear of my bosses. If my boss is a nice guy then my performance slowly becomes more erratic and strange.

My temper. I've always been afraid of taking thinks too seriously or doing anything with my life that requires intensity of purpose of agressive ambition. I used to have a very serious anger control issue.

My inability to properly motivate myself.

I put stuff off and off, and then when I do a bad job of it I mentally berate myself to no end. However, this does in no way affect my lack of motivation for the next thing I do, even though I KNOW I'm going to hate myself for it later.

I work best under pressure. For some reason, I tend to have more of a problem getting things done when I'm not stressed out and running around like a chicken with my head cut off. I don't really get it.

i sabotage myself by not caring about myself, both in work and health (i smoke and eat too much:(). and a lack of motivation only makes things worse.

i keep being granted lucky breaks and great gifts in life, and i throw them away because they are for my own benefit. not caring about yourself means you negate the things that help you, and even embrace those things which harm you.
sorry, i'm ranting
