Americans, who would you vote for in the UK election?

American voters only, I would just like to see how the politics of Americans, particularly young Americans might compare with the British.

As many of you might know, there is an election coming up next month and I would just like to know who you would vote for if lets say you lived in Britain. For those who know little nor nothing about the parties, I have included the addresses for their respective manifestos.

The Labour Party, centre-right (leader: Tony Blair)

Which one of the candidates is likely to blow up the world in the name of jesus?

Can't say I care for any of them (I find my distaste for political parties in general growing by the day...) but if I had to choose one it would be the Liberal Democrats. I'd still feel dirty afterwards though...

I'd say the BNP would be most likely to blow the world up, in order to rid the world of foreigners once and for all. I doubt that anybody would do it in the name of jesus, though.

Blair, but only if Bush tells him to

Oh, well then it would be OK.

"Americans, who would you vote for in the UK election?"

You have an intelligent, personable, courageous man in Tony Blair. Unless there's some pending catastrpohe of which I'm unaware, I suggest you stick with him.

Aye, we seem to have a lot less Christian nutcrackers over here, thank diety.

I'd have to go with Blair although I don't care for his party's domestic ideas very much.

You should refer to her by her full name; The Great Hellbitch, Spawn Of Satan, Baby Eating, Piss Drinking, Pig Fucking, Lady Thatcher. ;) :D

Depends what constituency I lived in. The member I'd vote for would have to have a principled anti-war position (has been a-w the whole time) and preferably non-labour. So I'd vote Respect, Plaid Cmyru (sp?) or Scottish socialist.

I'm really surprised that people in England would vote for Thatcher-with-a-smiley-face Bliar. Then again, people voted for the corporate leaders (Harper and Martin) here in Canada so there's no accounting for tastes.

If all the other parties weren't available I'd vote Labour if the candidate was demonstrably, consistently anti-war. If couldn't get any of that, I would vote Tory or LibDem, whichever was ahead in that constituency, go straight to a pub and get sickeningly violently drunk as rapidly as possible.

We often refer to Hillary the same way, so I can understand where you are coming from.

On the orginal post of this thread, I wouldn't vote for either of those parties, I would just write myself in as I am sure I could a much better job.

Perhaps true, but then you have the Veritas party and the BNP. Both rather scary.
