Record, not CD. We're talking one of those ancient, dusty discs that you put on a "record player". And it was something your parents owned, like a Doris Day record, but you played it anyway when you were a kid, because you were desperate for entertainment.

And you really DID like Doris Day.

In my case, it was Jimmy Shands' "My Scotland", which I played endlessly as a child.

I remember playing this one record over and over. I'm not sure exactly what it's called but I think it was "Rappin' Duke".
Cannot think of a name

My pop was into classical and opera, so it's kind of weird that he owned a Neil Diamond greatest hits record. It was the only non-classical/opera album he owned.

Thats so funny- you must have had Bette Midler too as we had the ones you named too.

How about Richard Harris singing someone left the cake out in the rain?
Abba?

I was so relieved when we got the first Meatloaf-"Bat out of Hell".
The Doors.
