What's unusual about you?

Jocabia

Is there anything you do that no one else does (or at least no one else you know)?

When I watch movies I have a tendency to make faces that represent how I think the characters are feeling. Can't imagine why I don't have a girlfriend.

One of my less unusual things, but certainly not normal, I make up songs all the time about whatever I'm thinking about. It helps me figure things out and it's fun. Again, can't imagine why I don't have a girlfriend.

You just reminded me of one. Whenever anyone enters a room I say hello to them even if they just ran to the bathroom or to get a drink or something. I've done ever since I was a little kid and I don't know why.

"What's unusual about you?"

Everything! When they made me, they threw away the mold. Probably because they knew I wouldn't be able to stand the competition! :D

Actually, I will sometimes do or say things just to shake people out of their lethargy. Remember that thing kids use to do about putting their lips on a window and blowing to make their teeth and gums all show? I use to do that to people in traffic when they looked upset, bored or depressed. I especially love doing things like that when people are taking themselves too seriously ... I can't stand that! :D

I do that. Or sometimes it's a song mocking what I just did if it was particularly stupid.

I will close one eye and put my fist up with my pinky and index finger up (like I was throwin' horns) when watching movies so it looks like a giant slug crawled on the screen. Then I'll make the slug eat actors or characters that piss me off.

If I didn't like a movie I will sit through the credits firing those I think are responsable.

me and my sister (Great Scotia) play this game where we pull the same faces as mummies (egyptian mummies, bog bodies, naturally dessicated corpses etc...) and the other one has to try and guess which mummy is being impersonated.

It has on multiple occasions resulted in the utterance of the phrase "ooh!! ooh!! Are your lips pursed, as if in silent prayer?!"

I sometimes hangout at grocery stores opening automatic doors for people. "Here let me get that for you." *steps on pad*

The best response I ever got was from a woman about five years younger than me who looked at me with a frown and said, "Child." I laughed about that one for like twenty minutes. People are too serious.

I'm double-jointed in the elbows (they bend the wrong way in addition to the right way), in the wrists (same), and the shoulders (I can dislocate at will). I can also sit on the ground with my legs bent 90 degrees at the knees (so that the feet are out to either side and do situps from that position with greater ease than a traditional situp position.

Sometimes when I talk to people, I start using a different voice or accent. Once in awhile I sing what I'm talking about. (On purpose-it's not an unconscious thing :) ) Sometimes it makes conversation more interesting, but sometimes it just results in people staring at me and saying stuff like, "Whoa, you're scaring me."

I also have a very elastic face-I can raise/lower my eyebrows independently, cross one eye, wiggle my ears, sneer on both sides, do this really extreme frown, and do this face where one lip moves to the right or left and the opposite lip moves the opposite direction.

I have a mild (mostly useless) pre-cognitive ability. I have 'day dreams' that basically feel like memories that I can't remember when they are from. These brief glimpses of my life later play out days, weeks, months later giving me a strange feeling of Deja Vu.

Unfortinately I have no way of knowing whether or not something I see will actually happen or if it is just the the work of my imagination. In addition to that, I have virtually no control over it. I can't simply make predictions.

To the best of my memory this has been happening since I was 12ish.

Yeah, I just thought of a new one. I'm a mimic. When I'm talking to someone I start unconciously mimicing their manner of speech and their physical mannerisms. Sometimes I even mimic their accent. Sometimes it makes people think I'm making fun of them and sometimes it makes people like me (people tend to like people they identify with).

First of all, I'm a professional clown. That makes me odd enough by itself.

Hmmm... I dream in 3rd person view. Is that unusual?

I can tell just by watching you walk, what is hurting in your body and a pretty accurate assessment of how long it's been hurting

I tilt my head to the far left whenever I am deep in thought or am listening to something interesting.

My little brother, who's nine, reapeats himself, to himself, in a whisper after he says something which is for some reason of importance to him. For example, he'll say,
"Sometimes I think Jack is just jealous of Carver," to me, and then say it again quietly, to himself. It's the cutest thing ever.

I do that sometimes. I always thought it was because I was vain and liked looking at myself.

I'm double-jointed in the elbows (they bend the wrong way in addition to the right way), in the wrists (same), and the shoulders (I can dislocate at will). I can also sit on the ground with my legs bent 90 degrees at the knees (so that the feet are out to either side and do situps from that position with greater ease than a traditional situp position. im not double jointed but i do sit with my legs bent at 90 degrees. its so much comfier but my knees are literally knackered. they crack at every little thing. i try not 2 sit like it but its so comfy lol

aha! just thought of something uniquely unusual...

my left ear is 'dented' at the top (it kinda folds downwards a bit) cos, when in the womb, my parents went to an Eric Clapton gig and it was so loud apparently i must have covered my ears for long enough to deform one of em
but i really should have been rockin' out in there :D

oh, plus my little fingers on both hands bend inwards quite a lot. it makes playing guitar that little bit easier (especially moving powerchords nice n fast ;) )

Je n'aime pas le francais. Cette une langue tres complique et difficile pour moi, par ce que je n'ai pas de bon memoryay.

I have invented a new language, called franglais, where you take english words and add "ay" to the end to speak like the french.

And i have red hair.

When I go out clubbing or partying, if the music is still pumping when its time to leave, I'll dance my way out of the venue. This is after I've already been dancing for at least 3 or 4 hours, so I'm right in the groove. I'm addicted to the beat, I just can't help myself.

Yeah, I do it with books as well. One of the reasons I've stopped reading in book stores. Which sucks, because there are tons of hot women in book stores.

Nothing better than that sort of contradictory hot/pure picture that you get with a librarian.

Yeah, me too. Even though I can't see that well. I've pretty much never missed anything I've shot at. When I was a kid, I, TWICE, shot over my shoulder at a bird and hit it. The second time I was describing the first time. Cried both times. I was about ten.

There is absolutely nothing unusual about me. I'm absolutely identical to everybody else.
That's quite unusual.

I deliberately create idiosyncracies when I speak. *shrugs* I also can change the words to any song to fit a situation.

I think that's normal, I do that too. Also, I have a lot of dreams where I amn't me - a while ago I was Eminem, repairing a roof. My wife was SO annoying... I don't particularly like Eminem, so it's weird.

Another strange thing, I'm missing a knuckle on my right hand so my pinky doesn't meet up with my other fingers...

Same here. I tried it with sugar once, but that wasn't as nice... On the other hand, I used to be absolutely addicted to peanuts with sugar. I'd eat them by the handful: grab some peanuts, and cover them in sugar. I'm extremely lucky in the sense that I never put on weight, so I can indulge in such weird things occasionally... I did break the addiction, though. ;)
