I do. I bought it at a Zippo outlet outside Missouri. It doesn't work and needs replacement of wick and filament.

i used my wife's for a long time because she quit smoking. It's a classic zippo design one but smaller and gold with her name on it. I quit too now, so it is sat rusting in a drawer.

It's blue with The Puking Dogs(F-14 tomcat squadron) crest on the front and on the back a F-14 laser etched onto it. It's so nice!

I do not smoke.

I used to own a real Zippo, though I was very dissatisfied with it. It ran out of fuel quickly, runs hot far too fast and is generally quite unreliable.

I switched to a IMCO Triplex:

Far superior design, quality and durability. And it won´t break the bank too. The price is less than 10 bucks. I bought mine about 12 years ago and it still runs perfect, smooth and never needed any maintenance. A full "refuelling" lasts almost a month, even if you use it frequently.

I bought one as a keepsake with my ship's insignia on it. (Was stationed on a submarine) I don't smoke. Of course, I also collect shotglasses and don't drink.

No, IMCOs run on regular lighter fuel. It´s just stored in a small capsule (which actually used to be old rifle cartridges).

I've even got two of'em, both shining silver.

The first has the emblem of the 82nd Airborne on it (got it cause I lived near Fort Bragg for my year in the States and watched them do a couple of jumps - long before everyone was afraid and they sealed off all the roads through that military area).

The other one was a gift from a friend and has "John" engraved in it - don't know why though: Neither he nor I is a "John"...

And yes, I do smoke - but carrying those lighters in my pocket always spilled gas in my pockets, so I only use them at home: So much for "showing off"!

I don't smoke, but I have various uses for Zippos. So, I really am rather tempted to acquire one. I wouldn't carry it around though, I'd keep it somewhere nice and friendly, like the drawer where I keep my pocketknife.

An old friend (Who isn't a friend any more) Kept a Zippo lighter. It was a cool design with a dragon's claw on it.

He also had a novelty HUGE working Zippo lighter - the ones they used to display in the shop window. He loved to light his cigars with that monster...

My ragtag 'Zippo' collection is actually a gathering of about two-hundred lighters, from real Zippos, to fake ones, to Bics with interesting print, Scripto lighters with band Prints, about a thousand matchbooks, and of course, the ever popular 'Your wifes a bitch.' fakebrand Zippo.

All in all I have about a dozen namebrand Zippo lighters. My first, and favorite, was given to me when I was about twelve by my stepdad. It was plain shining silver and beautiful, and HIS brother had carried it through two tours in Vietnam, and brought it home before drinking himself to death. Giving it to his brother, my stepfather, ensured that fifteen yearls later, I would get it and be pleased. Since then I developed a taste for them, and even bought a fancy display case with felt nooks to set them out, all pretty and neat.

But I never carry them unless I'm going out and getting dressed up. Gotta have a pimpin' flame on a night like that. Instead, I usually carry your everyday bic, but slipped into a nice leather case a random lady at the DMV gave me. Got tassles and beads, but it's still manly in a smoker's kinda way.

Yes. I smoke. Alot.

A "Venetian" design chrome zippo, engraved with "Kallisti" in greek, and I frequently smoke cloves.

Unfortunately, on a trip to a school conference thing, I managed to lose it in the worst possible place, a train. along with four or five djarum black.

People thought I had tourettes that day.

I have a couple of zippos-two plain chrome and a black powder coat finish.
I smoke cigars, about one a week or so.
I like zippos-they are a piece of Americana. Like a pocket watch or a pocket knife. Something you can hand down.
