The most boring, anodyne politicians

My nominations have to go to Charles Kennedy, party leader for the UK's Liberal Democrats. Nothing about him is exciting. Tony Blair has his war, his ID cards scheme, his electronic tagging of terrorist suspects, the intoduction of tuition fees that will probably ruin my post-student life. Michael Howard has his racist traveller and immigration policies and his scary tax cuts. Nick Griffin meanwhile is a lying fascist while I like just about everything the Green Party stand for.

But then there's Charles Kennedy, nice, mild-mannered, inoffensive Charles Kennedy. "I'll introduce anti-discrimination laws for gays" he says "but not marriage". "I'll raise taxes for the rich, but there's nothing left wing here". Finally, the war on Iraq "We should never have gone to war". Cheers for that Charlie, you're never short of inspired ideas.

Anyone here got any other ideas?
