How many people remember the ORIGINAL sim city??

That was awesome way back when.

Yep. It was exciting for its time. I remember playing the original quite a bit.

It took me a while to get the hang of it, although I did call cousin Vinnie...

I would like to see someone make a new Sim City and combine it with Sin City.

Command & Conquer: Tiberian Dawn (that's the original C&C to you who aren't fanatics) is better. :D

I'm probably the only person who has SimCity 2000 PC and SimCity 2000 Mac around here.

Quit listening to that stinking russian mind control device silly. Sim City is obviously better.

I remember playing it on the C-64, which was totally awesome. And I was a big fan of Sim City up till the most recent version, which I guess is too complex for my own good.

Ah, nostalgia.

I still play it on the SNES occasionally. When I can be bothered getting the SNES out of its box and plugging it in that is :D.

Also play Sim City 2000 on the PC sometimes, but its not as good as the original. I remember how good it felt the first time I got that elusive Mario statue :).

I played it on the SNES once, but couldn't quite grasp it. I currently play Sim City 4, though I do know of its (many) shortcomings. It's still a good game.

I'll definitely be waiting for Sim City 5.

I had once the original Sim City but I always became broke quite fast (although I tried it to set taxes and speed on "high" and turn disasters off and then wait some centuries. :D )
Then I own the SNES version, where I actually managed to solve all scenarios (no Dullsville in this game ;) ) and even got one Mega-Metropolis but only due to the fact I had rebuild it according to a picture of another.
Furthermore I have Sim City 2000 (are the newspaper in the English version such silly, too?) but I don't manage it to let my towns grow larger then a certain size... so I rather use SCURK...
But nevertheless I like the series quite.

Quit listening to that stinking russian mind control device silly. Sim City is obviously better.
There are neither Russians nor mind controlling devices in Tiberian Dawn... ;)

I still quite like plaing sim city on my good old Super Nintendo... At first I couldn't understand the rules (they were in french and my french at that time was just enough to by some bread in the local store), so I just kept sending bowers to the town or playing with all the other catastrophes until the city was deserted... ;)

I hacked SimCity 2000 on my old Mac using resedit, and re-christened it, 'Scum-Wah 2000'.

Every business, residential, and industrial building was renamed something more squalid, I changed all the graphics with the add-on paint program, and managed to change a number of the news articles in the papers...

I miss my old Mac sometimes. But that was a while ago. Now I just don't give a damn about OSes anymore.
