And the bad guy gets what he deserves too! She only wounded the predator, so I think we should pitch in and buy her coaching and time on a pistol range.

MSNBC (http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/7506339/) reports that

A 64-year-old great, great grandmother behind the counter at a Westside convenience store knew what to do when an masked robber came in Thursday afternoon and fired two shots: she grabbed her gun and shot back. "It scared the hell out of me. It really did," Janet Grammar said. "He shot twice at the back, past behind my head and he was getting ready to shoot me in my head. I had a gun under the counter, and I pulled it out and shot him in the chest."

I watched Campbell Brown of the Saturday Today show interviewing Mrs Grammar. Campbell, bless her heart, couldn't seem to understand why Mrs Grammar would shoot that thug, or how she could possibly have had the presence of mind to use her gun. I wish I could find a transcript of the interview.

By the way, 'Bless her heart' is a Southern code for something much less complimentary. We just don't say things like that about people.

Go Grandma!! :) One more Goblin that will think twice before trying to harm someone.

But according to many Hoplophobes, Senior Citizens are incapable of handling firearms. BS.

Bah, she should have been carrying proper hollowpoints in either .40 or .45. Wouldn't have to worry about the bastard getting up then.

True, but think of Goblin-boys reputation amongst his hoodlum friends as he tries to explain his scars.

well with brittle bones and sagging flesh and cronic joint inflamation, granny probably doesn't want a hand cannon... hollow points and a relatively small calibre probably would be enough(.38 or .32 or 9mm)
