Vote for the Jolt error you love to hate!
We have:
500 Internal Server Error - Comes with informative error screen
404 Page can not be displayed - Jolt just stopped existing...
David Copperfield Error - *poof* no trace of your thread.
Not logged in error - *poof* no trace of you...
Not validated error - ...Ever!
Database Error - Won't let you through from NS for a loooong time.
Debug error - It's... uh... your browsers fault!
Vote now!
(I had the David Copperfield error and Database error trying to put in the poll :D )

I love it when you get a sequence like this:
1) click on thread, get an internal error, click refresh
2) get "page cannot be displayed" 404 error, click refresh
3) get thread cannot be found, jolt error.
Dont you just love jolt?

I love the "Database Error". It can knock jolt out for a long time. It's my favorite!

I love the one saying "Jolt has experienced slight technical difficulties" which I find brilliant, seeing as those "slight" difficulties involve not being able to log into Jolt!

Ah, the David Copperfield error. First the thread's there, then it doesn't exist, then with a refresh or two it appears again!
Nothing better than getting the "no thread specified" mesage. You go from brightly colored Nationstates to the dark black and grey main forums. Quite a shock.

How about the "URL not found" error? It's as if their entire network suddenly disappears or so. It's aliens working!
I live to die for the "Debug Error." It happens every single time I click on respond, and it's not really an error. Headed "Runtime Error", it says something about "you should debug, there's something wrong with Browser" when there's nothing wrong at all!

(NOTE: When posting this I experienced the David Copperfield Error)
And we all naievely thought that all of the forum problems would magically disapear when we got, and I quote a certain administrator of this site, "Jolted back to life".
For those of you too young to remember sometime last year we switched forum hosting amid great excitment and fanfare. Now what do we have? A ugly ass forum, worse problems than the ones we left back at the Phbb community, and not only that, but it is the opinion of the author and others that when NationStates moved it lost much of the charming character that was enjoyed while we were hosted at Phbb.

Actually I've been quite happy with Jolt so far. The performance is good and these issues began about 2 weeks ago and grew gradually worse.

*chants* bring back the old server!
Always good to see another 03' nation! C'mon people! Raise your voices for better servers!
I like it how:
1) I log into Jolt as Czardas
2) It tells me "Welcome, Czardas!" in the upper right hand corner
3) I click on a thread and then click the "Reply" button
4) It tells me, "Logged in as Czardas"
5) I write a response and click "Submit Message"
6) I receive a message saying, "You are not logged in (and therefore cannot post). Please log in."
Amazing, isn't it? But then, look what happens next:
7) I log in
8) It takes me back to the Forums homepage
9) I find the thread I wanted to post to
10) I post my original message…
11)…and find that someone else, logged in as "Czardas", has already posted it for me!
I think the Jolt Forum Admin is getting bored.

I can't remember. It's been too long. I just recently found back to NS because I was bored. Originally I joined NS when it was the latest trend at Stratics :p

Any more?Yes…there's the error I occasionally get that tells me, "Your email has not been validated. An email was sent to you within the last few minutes…". This being 10 minutes before I made my 80th post and logged off Jolt for a few minutes in order to answer my cell phone.
Then there's the error I get when it tells me, "Cannot find the server <jolt.co.uk>" after I've been on it for 3 hours straight…with an AirPort connection of 4 bars!
(This may be an ISP error though. But the first isn't.)

I like the Database error. That's always good for some keyboard-pounding rage.
But those who have posted before are right...Jolt lacks the quirky character of the old server. It's too damn reliable. The consistency is starting to bore me. I miss the good old days, when logging in was like playing Russian Roulette! And, of course, Forum 7. Which must be brought up in any discussion of the old server, pursuant to NationStates Code, 13-301B.
When I opened this page for the first time, I got an error saying, "Warning: mysql_query(): Unable to save result set in /includes/db_mysql.php on line 212".
Pretty unique, huh?
