Pro-lifers, please explain something to me

Alright, so you pro-lifers are all about making sure every child in utero is born, even if it's born addicted to crack, HIV positive, to parents who have no idea how to care for it, to vitims of rape or incest, with horrible birth defects that greatly diminish the quality of life...so on and so forth. We get the picture. But explain this one thing to me:

Why is it that your bloviated, holier than thou, soapbox grandstanding about the sanctity of life never seems to encompass or even mention these children?:

Most of you pro-lifers voted for Bush, am I wrong? Bush started the war that killed these kids. So why the silence about all of these dead children? Could it be that you don't want to be called on your obvious hypocrisy? Or is it just that only good little white American babies are deserving of life? Or maybe the truth is just too painful? Or, like I said before, this really has nothing at all to do with children, in utero or otherwise, and everything to do with buying your own personal ticket to heaven by being more extreme than the last guy, convinced that Jebus will pay more attention to you that way.

BTW, sorry I can't stick around for all the replies, but I have to go to work. I'm a nurse, and everyday I help people, all kinds of people, and children as well. Now THAT'S what I call being pro-life. I'll be back on later to see what transpired.

Will the "Jebus" deliver you straight to heaven? :D

Sorry, just thought it's a bus i'd like to be on.

I've also wondered why most pro-lifers think owning guns is OK and killing poeple who come onto your land is fine, but all pregnant mothers must deliver their babys?

Try a law where the father of all single mothers children must raise said child for 1 yr. Things'd change then, i'll bet cha!

Bush started the war that killed these kids.

The funny thing is, a lot of kids are alive today because they didn't get to starve to death, be murdered, or disappear with their parents when said parents disappeared into Mr. Hussein's lair.

But, these same pro-lifers weren't complaining then either. Just as they don't complain about Africa and the children who are starving to death, being murdered, and dying of HIV/AIDS there.

This is silly.

1. You make an assumption that anti-abortionists support the Iraqi war.

2. The Iraqi war was not started to kill children.

3. The rationality or anti-abortionists has nothing to do with the rationality of pro-war individuals.

Most of the pro-lifers I know (and living in Ireland, I know a lot) were against the Iraq war.

< In the US >

1. On the whole, they do.

2. You're right, it was started to get Hussein's WMDs. It was started by a liar for made-up reasons.

3. All the same, the pro war party is the anti abortion party. if the anti abortion mob had moral reservations about our war they could start their own party.

it also seems to me than a surprising amount of prolifers support capital punishment

1. In the US they generally do.

2. yes but the end result was/is dead children a long with many other people. I dont care what the reason was children should not be killed.

3. The anti abortion people in america tend to be the pro war people.

Im not a pro lifer so i didnt agree with the pope but at least when he said pro life he meant it in every respect. anti-war, anti capital punishment, and anti abortion. any who claims to be pro-life but thinks war is ok is a fool
