I have a question for you NS people, have you ever had a CD whos tracks, every single one, you really liked? That is to say you like every song on the cd very much, your kind of music if you will.
Mine is Creedence Clearwater (Revival). I have never liked a band as much. You can listen to their tracks in any situation.

Led Zeppelin I- for my dad and I (and probably a lot of other people too) its a quasi-religious experience. In terms of sheer album quality (making every track unique and memorable, but allowing them to merge into a unified whole), Led Zeppelin is peerless. While they are not my favorite band per se, I can't name any other band with such consisent output in the album format.
The Sex Pistols - Never Mind The Bollocks, Here's The Sex Pistols
The Clash - The Clash
The Ramones - Leave Home
The Ramones - Rocket To Russia

A good deal of their songs sound the same; I'll give you that.
Yes, that's the point I was making, via use of hyperbole. Really, though, their songs sound so similar, that they needn't have bothered making more than a few. One of my housemates has green day on quite often, and to be honest, unless you notice the few seconds' silence, it's pretty impossible to tell when one song has stopped and the next one has started.
I wouldn't mind so much, but their one perpetually regurgitated tune is so bland that it doesn't bear listening to more than once anyway.

Yeah, I had never read a post that mentioned Spoon on here.
None of their albums really pop into my head when thinking of something to listen to, but I can listen to them nonstop, everyone of them.
Uncle Tupelo - March 16-20
Excellent choice. I heard "Moonshiner" about a year and a half ago, went out and bought that album, and it has been on steady rotation ever since.

Also any early album (pre 1970's) by Miles Davis.

'Reggae Greats' and 'Arkology' by Lee 'Scratch' Perry.
'Legend' by Bob Marley.

'Weezer' by Weezer.
'London Calling' and 'The Clash' by The Clash.
I'll stop now before this list gets too long.
*I was tempted to do the Alan Partridge joke and say my favourite Beatles album would have to be their 'Best of'.

But seriously, anyone who likes ICP or Slipknot should take their advice and kill themselves. Korn's songs are abrasive and weird. If I hear another song by Avril Lavigne I'm going to open the window and hurl my tiny red radio out of it onto the sidewalk.

How can you hate the black album???
It's a perfect case of how to overproduce an album. And the songs aren't nearly as strong as either, somewhere along the lines James turned into an angry, middleclass hick.
Old Metallica was aggressive but not angry, new Metallica sounds like it's trying to be angry, but not very well. If you want to be angry, play old school hardcore, metal doesn't work when it's angry.
Well, maybe some nu-metal, but nu-metal almost universally sucks for other reasons.

Songs of Leonard Cohen
I'd rank Songs Of Love And Hate above that one, to be sure. Songs Of Leonard Cohen doesn't really have any particularly duff tracks, but it just doesn't really match up to SOL&H over all - some of them are somewhat unmemorable, whereas the same can't be said for SOL&H.

Have you heard the Famous Blue Raincoat LP by Jennifer Warnes - all covers of Cohen tunes with a couple of guest vocals by the man himself? Definitely worth tracking down if onlty to see how his earlier tunes sound with a full band orchestration.
