How do you plan to celebrate The Rapture's anniversary?

This Saturday, April 16th, 2005, will be the one-year anniversary of The Rapture. How do you plan on celebrating the fact that there have been no truly good Baptists in the world for a full year*?

Personally, I'm up for some Doom & Sodomy, hopefully with three different men named Mike. Their last names cover the whole alphabet, when taken together, and yet all sound Mediterranian. That's been a long-time goal for me. I might also discuss the Epistles of St. Polycarp with an evangelical to try and convince them that there's no point left in trying to be good, since their own theology (which they've dedicated their life to) has already said they're going to hell.

If you want to discuss your own experiences on the rapture, you can do that here, too. Nobody'll mind, and I'm putting mine up once I get back from class tonight.

*poll maybe forthcoming.

Indulging in slothness and gluttony is a favorite of mine.

First things first, I'm going to buy the complete Ian Philips literotica collection.

Second, a massive orgy with a multitude of envious people, a gluttonous feast with proud and overconfident CEO's, followed by a gladiator fight between wrathful warriors while I recline slothfully on a couch being fed grapes. (Did that cover all 7 deadly sins?)

Then I'll read my Ian Philips collection and go to sleep, and repeat the next day.

Not to mention the baths in wine....

You are not familiar with the theology you are trying to discuss are you? There will still be people saved after the rapture.

What I'm trying to figure out is what kind of a hippy you are...I've seen your posts for a while now, and you've repeatedly struck me as one of the most lead-footed, knee-jerk reactionary conservative Jeezus worshippers I've ever encountered on NS. What gives?

Option 6 logically leads to option 1 and, occasionally, option 5. So 6 seems to cover the most ground.

What the hell is 'Prosetlyizing'?

So what prediction says that the Rapture was a year ago? I'm curious, I've never heard that before.

You are not familiar with the theology you are trying to discuss are you? There will still be people saved after the rapture. They've only had 50 or so years to fill in 2600 years of history to the mythology. I can excuse fudging on a few details.

So what prediction says that the Rapture was a year ago? I'm curious, I've never heard that before. You mean, you didn't notice? I thought it was fairly obvious- housepets disappearing all over Europe and California, The Voice speaking to all pure & good, my getting into my one car accident* during a temporary period of decorporalization, collapse of the Polish Government and an Antichrist seizing power...

Plus, rapture-ready.com gave that as one of the three dates they decided was the rapture for that month, and it fit the best.

I just got my very own Liza Minelli look-alike. While this is an essential step to complete my quest to become a world-power in the realm of fagification, does anyone have ideas for anything useful I could do with it in the context of this event? I'm a bit too drunk to think straight right now...
