Does anybody remember when the USA cable network was starting out? They had such great programming. On Saturday afternoons you could watch a guy who looked like a janitor in a super hero costume who went by the name "commander USA" host bad horror movies. At night Night Flight would show videos by Dweezil and Ahmet Zappa, and introduced a generation to Primus. USA's Up All Night, hosted by Gilbert Godfreid would show such cinematic masterpieces as Hell Comes to Frogtown starring pro-wrestler Rowdy Roddy Piper. Those were the days. Am I alone in pining for such fine television programming?

yes. you are alone. I disliked the movies and i think the programming now-a-days is way better (except for the fact they play too much law and order). I'm also glad they never jumped on the reality-tv bandwagon.

We should start our own shitty network. But instead of using gilbert godfried, we should use gilbert the alien.

Plus we should recycle really crap mini-series from the 80s during july 4th marathons. Because no-one else does.
