I'm fairly certain that a program called "Windows Media Encoder" can handle this, though I've never actually tried this in practice; and I simply found the file I was looking for in .avi format before I actually had to use it. So in truth I've really got no idea if it will work or not. But I guess its worth a shot.

I'm not sure. It's been ages since I've had any use for it: I'd go ahead and just google "Windows Media Encoder" if I were you.

Another solution is to install the Apple Quicktime player (currently 6 or 7) on your PC.
PS - Having Quicktime, WMP and Realplayer in the same PC is pain as they all try to hijack each other's file extensions.

First entry on google. I've been desperately searching for a program like this also, and I'll try it once I get home..

Actually I have a MOV to MPG converter on my other PC, but it probably only works for Quicktime 2 movies.

They locked down the PC, didn't they? :p
I'll try when I use my other PC. That software was REALLY old though. :)

already do but we want to convert it to WMV, AVI or MPG to extract the audio - my mov codec is screwed up and only exports the first second or so of sound when i encode a MP3 or WMA, and it just won't encode to any other video format either  :headbang:
i suppose i could reinstall my quicktime codecs but that would be a big pain in the arse... that i might do later. hehe, stoooned atm :p

I'll see what I can do with it. I've got WMP, RealPlayer, QT and DVD software player on my real PC (this one is only good for Internet).
