I havent made any comments about Megas. Ive only talked about giant robots in general.

Who DOESN'T love giant robots? Out with it, man!

Giant robots: fun when you can control them, boring to watch. Bonus points for not being human shaped, special brownie points for being vaguely insect shaped. Forgivable and even halarious when used for intentional corneyness.

Anime robots suck. Battlemechs rule.

Giant robots rock my world (depending on the size, quite literally).

Personally i tend to preffer western chucky style robots but thats just me.

Ok, so some of the designs are borrowed.

I just would rather play mechwarrior then watch an anime where they show thirty-three frames of a cartoon Gundam where the robot stays perfectly still but manages to fire all of it's weapons.

But I don't really care, I just have my own tastes... no need to get defensive about it...?

Hey i generally preffer btech/40k mecha to some of the anime stuff myself.

Some anime stuff is as rubbish you say while some of it is remarkably well done.

i personally adore the MW series and heavy gear and i am persoanlly disappointed that Games Workshop never tried a titan sim (ok for the true experience you would need 2 players for a warhound, 4 for a reaver, 5 for warlord and serveal hundred for Imperator but i'm sure you could use OFP style AI players to fill msot of the positions)

Mechwarrior 3 had a plus over mechwarrior 4: You could actually squish poor innocent people, i loved that :D
