Well, I finally got around to doing it, and so Modern War Studies (http://modernwarstudies.net/phpBB2/index.php) is finally up! However, since it's only been up for about thirty minutes it has *cough* one member, which is myself, and one post, which was me. So, I'm advertising it here, since I know there's a lot of people interested in modern war.
I urge you to join if you're interested! And to advertise it to your friends as well!

I posed a short comment about vertical envelopment in Vietnam. :)
I tried to follow the link and was informed twice that it didn't exist. Is it still working?

Etrusca, I saw, and replied. Quite interesting.

Good lord man, that's one empty forum!
I swear I could hear an echo over my speakers every time I clicked a link.
I'm more of an ancient warfare person myself. WW2 had been discussed at length SO MUCH in my life, I've grown complacent with discussions about it. There are about fifty million or so experts on that war out there. Little point answering questions, someone with more knowledge or a better grasp of the facts and figures will be around shortly.
Many of the other wars are much the same, but I'll continue to visit the site, see if any interesting posts show up.

That's why I made it all of modern war studies, because WWII forums are plentiful enough, and it's wide enough for a lot of people to show interest in it.

Sorry Mac, you're just a bit too late for my expertise.
I'm a WW1 guy.
Although, I am an expert on Tanks throughout the century.. so I might be useful?

what is your take on the The Malvinas/Falklands War ?
Well, I tried a few more times, I get sent to a website called cannotfind.net
It must be this dang Japanese windows/Japanese computer I am using. I'll keep trying cause it sound really interesting. Trying to be computer literate when everything is written in Kanji is just a tad bit difficult.

It would be awsome if you joined! And if enough people who like WWI join I might just as well add a WWI section. I've been thinking of adding a inter-war section when the number of members increases. Plus, it's a learning experience!

In what sense? There's a lot of about it.

Try, http://www.modernwarstudies.net - just under the construction picture there should be a link titled Modern War Studies. That will take you to the forums.

I popped in, corrected/informed someone of modern tank armament, and popped out.

I know...it was to spark conversation.... I need to make more simple threads like that...they seem to work.
