Favorite TV Shows?

What is your favorite TV show? I realize that we probably don't all get the same shows since we are all from different countries so why not explain the shows too! (yeah, I am bored)

My favorite shows are American Idol and The Contender. American Idol is a reality show that seeks out the best singers in America. Each week the viewers vote for their favorite singer on the show and the contestant with the lowest number of votes gets sent home. The Contender is another reality show that has to do with boxing. A bunch of boxers were chosen to do this show and each week they have a boxing match between two of the contestants. The loser goes home. Eventually the two remaining boxers will fight to win a million dollars.

Okay, now its your turn!!

Right now I think my favorite is Deadwood. Ultimate Fighter, which just ended it's first season is my second choice.

Deadwood's a western series on HBO about life in an illegal gold mining settlement that's been built on American Indian land, and Ultimate fighter's a reality series where guys who want a contract to fight in the UFC, Ultimate Fighting Championship, live together, train together, and fight one another for the chance to win the coveted contract. In the season finale the light heavyweights put on the best fight I have ever seen.

We have the Idols format here too :( Sorry I just don't
like it. All of my friends like it though. The other show
sounds much better.

My fav. Late Night With Conan O'Brien. Easy to relax and
enjoy. It's a talk show. And ofcource the re-runs of
The Pretender. Awsome! Many more too, but these are
the first to come to mind.

Farscape rocked my socks off. So sad to see it go... but luckily, Space airs reruns of it routinely.
I only watch two shows regularly though:
The Daily Show
24
And if you haven't seen 24, you don't know what your missing. Cheesy acting at times but a great show overall.

I'm a sucker for the villain, so I'm automatically biased towards Scorpius... the single greatest bad guy since Darth Vader. Especially that scene in the exploding command carrier. ABSOLUTE GOLD.

I like TOS the best. One word: Spock.

I think DS9 had the best stories and character development. Gul Dukat was the most layered villian in all of Star Trek.

True with the Gul Dukat statement, however I never really liked Cardassians. I've always wanted to see more of The Breen.

Shasoria,

"Space"? Is that a cable channel where you are?

Do you get the SciFi channel in Toronto? (I'm in Cleveland and might be moving to Toronto eventually due to sig other's work, which is why I ask.)

My fave shows: Stargate SG-1 on the Sci Fi channel, and the Red Green reruns from CBC shown on our PBS station here.

Yeah, I know, weird combination of faves. Oh well.

Monk is hands down the best show on tv(and possibly the best ever). Tony is absolutely amazing as Monk, and it is even better with the new nurse. Sadly the new season doesn't start for a while, so I have had to find a new show to worship.

When I first saw the previews for House, I thought, well just another stupid show that Fox decided to throw out. WOW was I wrong. It is absolutely amazing. By far my favourite show in season.

Quantum Leap
Babylon 5
Red Dwarf
Monty Python's Flying Circus (blame my dad for that and for my Star Trek and general sci fi addiction)
Are You Being Served?
Fawlty Towers
The Benny Hill Show

*Note: The above are listed in no particular order

My favourite TV show is by far Lost. Lost is about a bunch of people that were on a plane from Australia to LA and it crashed on some island and it goes through their trials and tribulations of trying to survive on the island as well as flashbacks to give a glimpse at their past lives. I love it, last episode was incredibly sad as a main died!!! but another main had a baby so that's ok, lol... every episode is a hge cliff hanger that leaves you hanging for a few episodes, it ends abruptly and then the next episode is about a different main and the next episode about someone else and then a few episodes later it goes back and finishes whatever was happening. Greatest show ever!!!

Nobody likes the league of gentlemen? Although I watched the show just because it was so f***ing sick, it's still one of the best british tv-series I've been watching.

I like "24" on Monday nights.
I watch Survivor with my wife sometimes, though its not really surviving-more bsing and stabbing each other in the back.
American Chopper-building bikes-I know one of the guys on the show, so its cool to watch.
The Osbournes when I catch it. I love Ozzy. The rest are a bore.

I dont know Mikey-I met Vinnie. His wife and mine had their babies in the same hospital.

My brother is friends with the rest of them and went out drinking with Mikey and Neil last year at Bike Week in Daytona. I went this year but we couldnt hook up.
