Is it OK to meditate after having a few beers?
I saw some freaky dudes in a very lucid dream I had the other night and I'm trying to get them back to see what they want.
Doesn't the body have to be "pure" to properly do this kind of thing?

Part of meditation is having a clear mind. Not to say that you have to be "pure" but most drunks aren't very clear. The best way is to sit somewhere quietly and set aside everything that is connected with daily life. Try to let yourself drift. Let images come and go without trying to analyze what you're seeing. Just remember for later.

Now, that's VERY simplified. ;) Try it and send me an in-game message. I have better resources that I can give you if you want to try meditating in a sober state.

is it ok?

who cares, do what you want. don't expect much though if you're trashed. well, other than falling asleep upright and then possibly falling over.

You won't get the physical-mental-spiritual benefits with that kinda shit... but if all you're after is freaky lucidity, go ahead. Besides, there's nothing WRONG with it... it's just that it won't do what meditation's supposed to do. It'll do other freaky shit instead.

I suppose I was using the term "meditation" rather loosely. I understand about meditation to clear the mind and get the bliss of nothingness.
What I'm really after right now is trying to induce a very specific lucid dream. I'm actually very good at manipulating my dreams once I'm in then It's getting back to a particular one that's tricky.
