Just visualise this new career for Margaret Thatcher for a moment, now visualise it on a cold day. Are you turned on?

Iron Lady visits lap-dance club
From correspondents in London
April 12, 2005

MARGARET Thatcher, the former British prime minister, has made a rare public appearance for her beloved Conservative Party - at a glitzy London strip club.

Thatcher, 79, toting her trademark handbag, turned up Sunday at Stringfellow's for a Tory fund-raising event ahead of the May 5 general election, the Daily Telegraph and the Sun newspapers reported.

"Margaret Thatcher has always been a heroine of mine, so I was genuinely humbled to welcome her to the club," said mulleted clubowner Peter Stringfellow, 64, who is usually surrounded by buxom blonde twentysomethings.

"I was just in awe of the woman."

Thatcher, known as the Iron Lady for her uncompromising right-wing politics when she was prime minister throughout the 1980s, rarely makes public appearances due to her failing health.

Some 400 Conservative supporters turned up for Sunday's function, but it was unclear what Stringfellow's posse of dancers did.

The Sun quoted the impresario as saying "all the girls kept their clothes on," while the Daily Telegraph said he gave them the night off - although he added: "I got the distinct feeling she'd have loved to have seen them".

I had thought of photoshopping a picture to get Magie's head on some naked body, but then I realised that you would steal the picture to add to your private stash... ;)

I'm American, but also half-British. And I don't know who Margaret Thatcher is, but I already hate her.

Tell me, why do they call her "Iron Lady"? Is it because she uses several pounds (or kilograms) of industrial-strength cement to glaze her hair?

In America, the boxer, Mike Tyson (who, incidentally, bit off another boxer's ear) used to have the nickname "Iron Mike." Is there some kind of relationship here? Will Margaret Thatcher "put up 'er dukes" (curled arms--British style) if you give her the finger, at a press conference?

Is she, like other Conservatives, under the delusion that the "Iron" Curtain still exists?

Or, is her pasty face, which looks not unlike a velociraptor sans the lion's mane, so pale due to the lack of 'iron' in her diet?

This face gives me nightmares. I apologize to the parents of any children whom accidentally see this woman's face, and also have nightmares. You have my deepest condolences. But this anti-Christ must be revealed.

Although, I admit, this woman terrifies me even more. I never knew it was socially acceptable for a political figure to marry his mistress. I mean, if Clinton's wife had been killed in a car accident and he married Monica Lewinsky, Hillary'd have been hailed as a hero to Conservatives, and they'd have crucified Bill even more.

SILENCE HEATHEN  (that's you Infallible Satire)

Magie is the best thing that has ever happened to the western world!

A strong female role model, she took no shit from the Commies, IRA, Trade Unions and the Argentine armed forces (Falklands War).

She dragged Great Britain out of a huge economic chasm and restored the British people's pride in their country.

By far she was one of the greatest leaders of the free world and is truly an inspiration for all those who have half an interest in global politics.

Yeah, she didn't take any shit from those dirty commoners that sought to increase their social status from dirty scum. Those filthy paupers should stay dirt poor. If god didn't want them to be poor, he wouldn't have birthed them to a poor family, obviously.
Thatcher stopped those satanic goals of the lower classes to go against the proper hierarchy of social standing by birth and not by silly little accomplishments in life.

IIRC, she was an atheist. I think she did felt that the lazy fuck's poverty was deserved however.

Ahh, Lacadaemon, we meet again.

If somebody is born into poverty, and the government of that country doesn't see it fit to provide education or any opportunities for this person to get out of poverty easily, then they are going to stay in poverty and work in a coal mine just like their forebears did.
It's not a case of them being lazy fucks, it's a matter of them not being given the proper opportunities to get a lift out of poverty.
Thatcher abolished a lot of the unions that sought to keep the wages of manual labourers above the poverty line, and called it economy candy. The result was mass layoffs and the wages of many hard working, working-class people plummeting below the poverty line.

Ah-hem, *points to sig

In any case, I'm under 18 and therefore unable to vote.
Also, I'm sorry if I have communicated something incorrect about myself.
I am not an avid unionist, I'm not a fighter for the working class, I'm not a industrialist, not at all. I think that a decent minimum wage and the guaranteed opportunity for everybody to make a name for themselves should they be good enough is a pre-requisite for any society. That's all stuff we should be over.
I find it shocking when people sprout some middle-ages ideal to do with keeping the lower class lower and ensuring those born to privilege are allowed to exploit the lower classes as much as they like because they own them.

Tho' she was born into poverty Choo-choo. Indeed, to this day they call her the 'grocer's daughter".

Yet despite no having the left or 'unions' on her side she became a research chemist, then a QC, then and MP, then a Minister and then PM. (despite all odds),.

Laziness. That's the problem.

I find it rather interesting that when George W. Bush is the subject du jour, most Brits all line up to have a whack at him, calling him everything but a middle-aged white man in the process. But notice how very few Americans popped up to offer opinions of Margaret Thatcher.

I'd like to think it's because we are better than that, but it's probably mostly that we Americans are egocentric, holier than thou isolationists.

I do have an opinion of Maggie, but I'll keep it to myself.

Unless you're REALLY interested, that is. (lol)
