What is the Best Music for Killing Zombies?
I say Queen is the best... especially "Don't Stop Me Now" :p
But what other songs/bands? ;)
If you put on some sound dampening headphones, they are such graceful as they arch towards the floor. A little classical music and it's almost beautiful.

I'd say Disturbed, :Wumpscut:, Kittie, P.A.L., Sick of it All, Biohazard, Testify, VNV Nation, Wasteland and Maschinenzimmer would be on my playlist, thus Hardcore and Industrial being my choice of music for this task. Maybe i throw in some Necromantix classics like "Brought back to life", "Back from the grave" and "Nekrofelia" for the laughs.

I did actually have this conversation... with myself... a few weeks ago. Some tracks I came up with where:
Ginnungagap, Muspelheim, Typhon, and The Three Ships of Berik Part 1 by Therion...
Kivenkantaja by Moonsorrow might also be good...
Tanz Mit Laibach by Laibach could be fun... :mp5:
and of course, Erblicket die Töchter des Firmaments by Burzum.
Oh, and Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D minor :D
I think I'll gather the best songs and make a special Zombie Killing CD :D

I would choose an irritating song, to stir me into a zombie-killing rage. 'Bananaphone' fits the bill nicely.

I'd go with something with a heavy beat, loud, and makes you just want to get up and start firing a few rounds... my suggestion (Drowning Pool) fits the bill perfectly.

Zombies are all prolly death metal fans, so I would imagine the best zombie-killing music would be stuff like Neil Diamond, Barbra Streisand, Bread, and (modern equivalent) Celine Dion & Michael Bolton.
Nothing would strike fear into a mob of hell-bent zombies quite like Bolton's pleading tirade in "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You"
Other great zombie-killing songs from these groups include Sweet Caroline, Love on the Rocks, Evergreen, The Way We Were, Papa, If, Because You Loved Me, etc.
Other Great Zombie-Killing Songs:
Joanna - Cool & The Gang
Sarah - Starship
Valerie - Steve Winwood
*Note: Any zombie named Joanna, Sarah, or Valerie instantly drops dead at hearing "her" song... the rest take a bit longer to succumb.
We Are The World - Michael Jackson and Friends (Although when Bob Dylan gets up to shout/sing, they sort of enjoy it since it's so out of tune...)
Everything I Do (I Do It For You) - Bryan Adams
Three Times A Lady - Lionel Richie
Say You, Say Me - Lionel Richie
I Remember - Madonna
All The Man That I Need - Whitney Houston
Meet Me Half Way - Kenny Loggins
One More Night - Phil Collins (or Genesis... I forget)
Eternal Flame - Bangles

How about the song I wrote called "Spaam is rubbish at this"
It goes:
Who wants to catch some zombies?
Spaam
All you gotta do is
Spaam
Wow... he only got one before he died
Spaam
Who's better to catch zombies?
DO
OK, I've never been good at lyrics, but the tune is amazing! :p
Ride of the Valkyries by Ríchard Wagner of course!!!!

Superbeast by Rob Zombie
Scum of the Earth by Rob Zombie
I totally agree with the above two songs. However, if I may expand on them a little bit, I'd like to say EVERY White Zombie song and just about every Rob Zombie song would be excellent choices. Also, a few more good choices would be "Dead By Dawn" and "Sacrificial Suicide" by Deicide. In fact, probably anything by Deicide would be good. A few more include:
"The Hunter" - Danzig
"Frantic" - Metallica
"Turn Me On Mister Deadman" - The Union Underground
Anything of Static-X's first album (they just went downhill after that)

I'm not exactly a "St. Anger" Kiddie (although I will give the album credit for being better than most say it is). I considered including "Leper Messiah" as one of the songs, and I don't know why I retracted it (Come on, LEPER Messiah, for Chrissakes! What was I thinking? What better word to describe a zombie?). Trust me, I love "old Metallica" a bit more than new, but why deny the fact that there are actually several really well-done songs on St. Anger? While many of them don't seem overly original when comparing them to the other songs on the album, songs like "Frantic," "Dirty Window," "The Unnamed Feeling," and "All within my hands" truly are awesome, and that's really all there is to it.
Also, what do you think about "The Thing That Should Not Be"? I think that actually might be a good one to include, too, 'cause come on, the walking undead? They simply should not be!

Using the beats, along with the lyrics, I've compiled the best zombie-killing mix (tested by playing Resident Evil along with the music). Here it is, going by Shuffledplaylistabetically, let's see:
(Warning: Huge)
"God Send Death" ~ Slayer.
"Tormentor" ~ Slayer.
"Killing Fields" ~ Slayer (seeing a trend here?).
"Necessary Evil" ~ Napalm Death.
"Monster Mash" ~ Some guy with a smartass voice.
"Youthanasia" ~ MegaDeth.
"Territory" ~ Sepultura.
"Breathe" ~ Pink Floyd.
"99 Ways to Die" ~ MegaDeth.
"Evil Hath No Boundries" ~ Slayer (It's actually "Has", but I put in "Hath" for true phonetation).
"Refuse/Resist" ~ Sepultura.
"Tornado of Souls" ~ MegaDeth.
"Scum" ~ Napalm Death.
"Countdown to Extiction" ~ MegaDeth.
"Seasons in the Abyss" ~ Slayer.
"The Great Southern Trendkill" ~ Pantera (or, for a death-metal effect, see the Anal **** cover).
"Kill 'Em All" ~ Metallica.
"When the Levee Breaks" ~ Led Zeppelin.
"Big Guns" ~ AC|DC.
"Burn in Hell" ~ Judas Priest (mainly for the intro, lyrically iffy).
"Immortally Insane" ~ Pantera.
"Symptom of the Universe" ~ Black Sabbath (or Sepultura's cover, for something louder).
"One Man Army" ~ GG Allin.
"Got Another Thing Comin' " ~ Judas Priest.
"Cowboys From Hell" ~ Pantera.
"Take No Prisoners (Take No Shit)" ~ MegaDeth.
"Domination" ~ Pantera.
"Drag the Waters" ~ Pantera.
"A Touch of Evil" ~ Judas Priest.
"Electric Funeral" ~ Black Sabbath.
"Broken Pieces" ~ Prong.
"South of Heaven" ~ Slayer.
"From Hell They Came" ~ The Misfits.
"Cat Scratch Fever" ~ Pantera.
"Just One Fix" ~ Ministry (this one stands out quite a lot).
"Helter Skelter" ~ Motley Crue (or White Zombie's cover for something really screwed up).
"Twist the Knife" ~ Napalm Death (that's all my Napalm Death songs :P).
"Mouth For War" ~ Pantera (Beavis and Butthead's commentary on this is priceless).
"Ressurection" ~ Fear Factory.
"The Sentinal" ~ Judas Priest.
"Beg To Differ" ~ Prong.
"Expendable Youth" ~ Slayer.
"Fucking Hostile" ~ Pantera.
"The Mob Rules" ~ Black Sabbath (Dio is THE MAN).
"HellBound" ~ Pantera.
"Drop The Bombshell" ~ Powerman 5000.
"Seek and Destroy" ~ Metallica.
"Highway to Hell" ~ AC|DC.
"Bloodline" ~ Slayer (it's about Vampires, so what? It's a badass song).
"Metal Storm|Face the Slayer" ~ Slayer.
"My Last Words" ~ MegaDeth.
"Living Dead Girl" ~ Rob Zombie (coincidentally my favorite song ever).
"Meet the Creeper" ~ Rob Zombie.
(Half-way now.)
"Mandatory Suicide" ~ Slayer.
"Black Magic" ~ Slayer (basically the whole "Show No Mercy" album).
"Metal Meltdown" ~ Judas Priest.
"Prowler" ~ Iron Maiden.
"Die By The Sword" ~ Slayer.
"For Dear Life" ~ Prong.
"Explode" ~ DamagePlan.
"Into the Lungs of Hell" ~ MegaDeth (good instrumental).
"Rock You Like A Hurricane" ~ The Scorpions.
"Dead Die Enough" ~ MegaDeth.
"Chemical Warefare" ~ Slayer.
"When Worlds Collide" ~ Powerman 5000.
"Bullet the Blue Sky" ~ U2 (the Sepultura version is much, much better).
"Last in Line" ~ Dio.
"Neon Knights" ~ Black Sabbath.
"Skeletons of Society" ~ Slayer.
"Run To The Hills" ~ Iron Maiden.
"Right Now" ~ KoRn.
"Purple Haze" ~ Jimi Hendrix.
"Raining Blood" ~ Slayer.
"Killed By Death" ~ Motorhead.
"Here To Stay" ~ KoRn.
"Communication Breakdown" ~ Led Zeppelin.
"Kashmir" ~ Led Zeppelin.
"Suicide Solution" ~ Ozzy Osbourne.
"I'm Your Boogieman" ~ White Zombie.
"Into the Void" ~ Black Sabbath.
"Ratfinks, Suicide Tanks & Cannibal Girls" ~ White Zombie (reminds me of the Beavis & Butthead movie way too much).
"Rust in Peace|Polaris" ~ MegaDeth.
"Dead Skin Mask" ~ Slayer (yeah it's about Gein, but still).
"Rude Awakening" ~ Prong.
"Keine Lust" ~ Rammstein (I've been told this is about feeling like a loser or something, but I'll disregard that, and go by the the rock).
"Snap Your Fingers, Snap Your Neck" ~ Prong.
"Symphony of Distruction" ~ MegaDeth.
"Criminally Insane" ~ Slayer.
"Spill the Blood" ~ Slayer (fits the part perfectly).
"Reckoning Day" ~ MegaDeth.
"War Ensemble" ~ Slayer.
"Here Comes the Pain" ~ Slayer.
"I'm Broken" ~ Pantera.
"The Killing Road" ~ MegaDeth.
"Roots, Bloody Roots" ~ Sepultura.
"The Anti-Christ" ~ Slayer.
"Jugulator" ~ Judas Priest.
"Necrophobic" ~ Slayer.
"Show No Mercy" ~ Slayer.
"I, Zombie" ~ White Zombie.
"All Guns Blazing" ~ Judas Priest (interesting tidbit: the songs time-frame is 3:57, .357 is a common revolver caliber. Coincedence: I think not, 'Priest said so).
Finally:
"Dope Hat" ~ Marilyn Manson.
That should span 8 to 14 CDs.

One time I was playing Doom 2 in my room and my parents were listening to NPR or something and they were doing a showcase on this banjo player: they played one of his songs right as I entered that bigass last room where you have to fight a shit ton of monsters and I nearly peed my pants, the matchup was so funy.

Comedic: Don't Stop Me Now - Queen (<3 Shaun of the Dead)

Slaughtering zombies to "Homeo-Apathy" would be kickass. Or any of their other awesome songs.
Front Line Assembly might make good music for killing, with stuff like "Bloodsport", "Foolsgame", and "Big Money". That sample at the beginning of "Foolsgame", saying "there'll be bloodshed...", that is perfect.
The Dillinger Escape Plan has some songs that would make pretty good slaughter music too.
EDIT:
How 'bout "Buzzbomb" by the Dead Kennedys? Or Crimson Death's remix of "Phobopihle" by Cryptopsy? Maybe Antioch Arrow? "Bloodletting", by Iniquity? Loads of good stuff.

Dies Irae, Lacrimosa and Amen from Mozarts Requiem (although technically only the first 8 bars of Lacrimosa are actually by Mozart, and none of Amen... never mind... I'm talking about the Boston Baroque finishing done by Richard... curses, forget the last name. Might even have the first one wrong.)
As well as... William Tell overture and....Beethovens 5th. That's my classical choices. That famous tune from Carmen as well, but I forget the name.
Oo! and Agnus Dei, by Barber (choral version of adagio for strings, same composer.)
As far as more contemporary choices... Just one fix and Psalm 69 by ministry... Our House by madness, the Oompah Loompah songs from Charlie and the Chocolate factory, definitely don't stop me now by Queen, madman by ugly kid Joe.... Sweet Child o' mine... Sympathy for the Devil.... Everybody loves somebody... there's more. I forget them.
Holiday In Cambodia by the Dead Kennedys would fit perfectly.

The best soundtrack for the total destruction of mindless zombie hordes would have to be a nice long set of at least 200 BPM Gabber, Breakcore and SpeedBass. (Gabber is kind of like the Chemical Brothers hopped up on PCPs, a half-ounce of Meth and 20 Tequilas meeting an equally inebriated Trent Reznor in a nightclub and then hacking the audience to little bloody peices of flesh)
