Aren't pickled onions great? I mean, not only are they tasty, but 100g of drained pickled onions contains only 24 calories! They also provide health-promoting phytochemicals as well as nutrients. They can also help to prevent gastric ulcers. And much, much more!

THE STORY OF THE TASMANIAN PICKLED ONION
Last Century an elderly couple in the south of Tasmania began pickling onions. Popularity of their product spread and a cottage industry was developed.
As the years passed by, the circle of appreciative connoisseurs grew. The business flourished, expanding greatly with the change in ownership in 1966.
The expansion led to the need for large scale onion growing to be developed in the 1970's. The variety "Cream Gold" was selected, a crisp, crunchy and particularly tasty onion. It was found to be especially suited to the fertile, rich red, volcanic soils and cool climate of Tasmania.
Demand for this quality Tasmanian product continues to increase and Blue Banner produces pickled onions to the traditional mouth watering recipe for shipment Australia wide and export overseas.

The people have decided that the term "hotpot of pickley knowledge" has sexual innuendoes wich remind us of a suasagefest.
Ergo....we dissaprove.
Instead, we reccomend, "Brine-tastic", or something equally as lame.
