You should have. Our Canadian government has been secretly participating in the planning and development processes for three years now, under the facade of Binational Planning Groups and the redundant Ballistic Missle Defense debate. Why does US Northern Command (NORTHCOM) do, you ask? Should the Canadian government finally make a decision to be formally and officially involved, ALL MILITARY OPERATIONS, CIVIL AUTHORITY, POLICY-MAKING, AND INTELLIGENCE IN THE NORTH AMERICAN CONTINENT WILL INTEGRATED UNDER THE COMMAND OF *ONE* AMERICAN OFFICER with optional Canadian input. Yes, if that were to happen, we would be directly involved in the US agenda. Canada, should the US decide to, would invade Iran.

Please do anything you can to spread the word and push this issue into the public forum. If people do not know what is happening, NORTHCOM cannot be properly debated and decided upon in our democratic nation. Help us, as Canadian citizens alike, stand on guard for our home and native land.

Hey, SouthCOM used to be here in the Canal, and Panama never invaded ANYONE(except for Costa Rica. And that was because they attacked fist ><).

So? We've been working with them on defense for years. We had their nuclear missiles for awhile. We are part of NORAD. Etc... etc...

If we want a stronger voice in the defense of North America, we as Canadians have to contribute more. We'll have to put more funds into defense. We'll have to insist on having a Canadian officer with the same authority as the US officer in control of NORTHCON. But since our government is such a pack of lying, money laundering shrills, there's no way THAT is going to happen. So all we can do is sit back while the US does the lion's share of the work.

I only wish they would stop jamming missile defense down our throat holes. The damn thing doesn't even work anyways, and the last time they tried such a stunt in the 60's we lost our aerospace industry as an indirect result.

Canada is one of those sneaky countries which do all their dirty work in the background while countries like Australia act like walking targets.

Everyone is under a US theater. NORTHCOM is the newest, but it is meant to coordinate military actions in the US, Canada, Mexico, and the Carribean. EUCOM has all of Europe, Russia, and Africa. SOUTHCOM has Latin America and the Carribean. CENTCOM, the most famous, has the Middle East and Central Asia. Finally, PACCOM, the largest, has all the Pacific Rim and Indian Ocean. They exist for no other reason than to coordinate US troops overseas. I'm sure that other global militaries, such as Britain's, have similar theaters.
