(For O.C. Haters) Why did you have to watch the O.C.?

I hate the OC. Sounds like trolling, but hey. It's for OC haters.

Doesn't matter. All that matters is that watching the OC should be a sin.

My roommate watches it, and I'm inevitably doing something in the room, and as such it cannot be escaped.

No, a mere glance at it would just burn your eyes out, let alone go to hell.

I know! Instead of lethal injection, the electric chair, and gas chambers, lets make prisoners watch the OC! That'd make them think twice before breaking the law!

Hmm... perhaps I should be glad that I don't have cable or the time to watch tv.

Go rabbit ears... even though all they get is one local channel and the christian channel. You can almost get citytv and global.

I've only seen the ads and they're bad enough. I don't need to see some rich wankers coated in makeup leading their oh so dramatic social lives... UGH!
Stroudiztan
10-04-2005, 05:52
Never watched it. If I wanted to see rich kidiots do stupid overdramatic shit, I'd spread a rumour at the local prep school that one of them was screwing another's mom.

Hmmm... I hadn't heard of this one. Looked it up and it seems to be a 90210 clone soap opera. Seems banal enough. What's so evil about it?

Didn't have to, walked into the room when my sister was watching it and staid for a couple of minutes before deciding it was crap.

You see, the Star Wars: Episode III trailer was on the O.C., and my friend had taped it. I was forced to fast-forward through many minutes of the O.C. before I saw the trailer.

It was worth it.

I sometimes might accidentally watch the O.C, but it's only because animal hospital's starting on another channel in a couple of minutes. Now that's a great show.

I personally think the OC is the funniest show in tv. The drama is so over-hyped and acting is horribly weak minus one or two characters. But seriously, everytime I watch this show I can't help but laugh at it. I know it's not a comedy, but it's just so funny to watch that chick have the porno she made as a teenager pop up then you realize her daughter is pretty much going to end up the exact same way.

I'm not a big fan of all those American drama series - the only one I really like is The West Wing. That's just amazingly good, and definitely better than The O.C.

I watched about half an ep.

Did it have sex, drugs or shooting in it? Because if it did, then you saw a good part (which I believe is logically impossible)

There are usually good shows on after the evil demon-spawn that is the O.C., so I brace myself for the worst while I wait for it to come on next. Yes, I am too lazy to change the channel.

Personally I likr the OC. People are entitled to their own views, but this programme is attracting alot of "haters". My friend hates it, but he hates wealth/money, rich people, beautiful people. I think he's bitter.

I can only assume that it has something to do with envy or lack of the above.

Orange County, CA. A rather wealthy area.

So...what then, a TV show about wealthy people? Sounds so terrrrribly interesting... hmm, yes - all the pitfalls and problems of the moneyed classes, like taxation...uhh...and property rights...trouble with the servants...and uhh...stuff. Bet no-one wears the same clothes twice, and the womenfolk wake up wearing full makeup, right?

Wonder what's on the news?

Its a teenage melodrama. In the 'proud' tradition of Clueless and Beverly Hills 90210. Apparently it’s a rather interesting premise for a good amount of people out there.

Which shows that a good amount of people "out there" have the intellect of a doorknob. That, or they simply have no taste.

Ah, so it's not even about the pitfalls and problems of the moneyed classes...it's about the pitfalls and problems of the well-heeled children of the moneyed classes - yes, I'm sure it's earth-shatteringly interesting stuff - all the byzantine bed-hopping, substance abuse stories, and everybody still managing to look like a model from a store catalogue at all times. Goodbye taxation issues, hello petty interpersonal politics.

Honestly, this sounds like an utter waste of breathing-time.

I have only ever seen glimpses of it on adverts, and when I'm waiting for something good to come on TV. I don't actually pay attention to it, though. I usually do something more interesting, like timing how long it takes grass to grow 1cm in various different conditions.
