I've gathered a good bit of information about the mathematical constant "e" which I'm going to type up into a report, but I'm curious to know what you guys know about "e".

It seems much more useful than Pi and infinitely more interesting as well. Anyway, what do you know about "e" and have you ever used it at all in your life?

i use e all the time
but i do not comprehend how it can be so useful in every branch of math and science

I did twice. The first time I used it it didn't work because I'm told I was too drunk. The second time it just kept me up all night and made me feel funny. I'd rather have a pi anyday. Especially a sweet potato pi.

In a+bi form, the natural log of -1 is imaginary pi. I used to know what that meant when I took Calc 2.

I'd have to agree. E! is shit. Joan Rivers should have covered Camilla and Charles wedding. I swear that woman and her daughter were created when God had a shortage of materials. :rolleyes:

I've never used e but I'm going to stick with pi. I learned about pi first and now that they have nifty pi keys on calculators, I feel more loyalty towards pi. Besides, those men... I can't remember the head mathematician, but him and all those guys that drew those huge circles deserve to live on somehow. Heh... I know the person who discovered e probably did something more significant and sad but I don't want to know...

I can tell you that I just started studying it. And yes, it's so much more useful than Pi (compounding interest, anybody?)
