The OC is the ultimate apathy of terribleness. Even my English teacher agrees that it sucks, and we usually hate each other to the bone.

This show is possibly one of the saddest presentations of the world I've ever seen.

I've never watched it, but I hate it anyway. I make fun of it wherever possible. What's odd is that there are people who like it... they snap at me for making fun of it...

It's just a soap. Why does anyone watch soaps? Because they're more interesting than our daily lives. That's why they fill up the most tedious hours of our time on this earth.

I watched the first season, and didn't consider it that bad. But do understand that different people have different tastes.

Most people watch to see just when Peter Gallagher's eyebrows are going to finally strangle and eat Adam Brody.

Stop bashing the OC. Its a fun show, albeit unrealistic. Plus, it has good music and interesting plot twists. If you don't watch the show, then I feel that you have no grounds on which to make a comment. :gundge:

3: They intentionally poke fun at themselves, to the point of mimicking real life issues
4: They discuss teenage romance and other issues while keeping a humorous edge
5: Unlike some other TV shows (eg Desperate Housewives), the cast members are actually fairly regular people
6: Unlike other shows with "teenagers" as a big part of the show, said "teenagers" actually are in their teenage years (or pretty close to it)... Unlike for example 90210 *Shudders*
7: Their writing staff are actually creative and while the "fads" have been cheesy... They actually make sense (eg "Chrismukkah")

And lastly...?

8: They have the best fricking theme song ever!

I AGREE SO MUCH! I am completely pissed off with American Idol clogging up the bloody t.v.! Why do we care?! Seriously, I don't watch the english one so why do I give a toss about the American one?!

No seriously - because it shows that rich people have their mistakes too, and are just as unhappy as the other 98.2 percent of the population. So, you, part of said 98.2 percent, should refrain from taking their possessions by force seeing as how it won't be bringing you happiness one way or another (who needs lush lawns and quality housing anyway?), and instead have a good and innocent laugh at them. Ha-haha-ha.

1. Entertaining? I tried to watch it a few times. I got bored when someone oppened their mouth.
2. There are alot of shows with intentionally screwed up story-lines, but they aren't as bad as OC!
3. Alot of other shows do too.
4. Alot of other shows do too (But I don't see anything humorous in the show.)
5. The same with other shows too. Oh, and even though they are regular people, they suck at acting.
6. There are alot of shows with 'teenagers" who are teenagers.

The music sucks!

I watched a little bit of the OC in the first season. At first, I found the relationships between the people to be... curious enough to watch again...

But then I got bored with it. Rich kids acting like morons. Rich adults acting like backstabbing morons. Whoop de do.

Then there's all the product placements that they let loose like wildfire in this season. I haven't watched since their first summer, and even then I have to say i'm glad i'm not watching anymore. Man... it has to suck hardcore now.

As for American Idol... yeck! The last thing we need are more pop stars...

But they played like... FOUR BECK SONGS in one episode once to promote their new album. That's the episode that got the series in trouble for overdoing their product placements. *LOL*

1. Not really. Even less really if you start watching in the middle of the episode!
2. Why would anyone watch a show that intentionally screws its own storyline up? Sounds like the story will be ultra-screwed by the time it reaches it's third season. Beyond watchability.
3. Not nearly as funny as South Park.

8. The theme song... SUUUUUUUUUUUUCKS! Personally, I prefer the One Tree Hill theme song, though that show sucks about the same as The OC in every other way. A good theme song is the Buffy theme song, or Charmed, though Charmed's theme didn't seem to be at all related to the series. It was just cool. :D Another good theme song... hmm... Alias has a good musical score which is appropriate to the show. I know music. And the OC's theme song... *sighs, shakes head.* ...it hurts my musical soul. :(

I watched it because apparently someone was going to try and kill themselves. I was curious about a teen TV show that was about more than who was going out with who...that backfired rather nastily. Especially since watching the few shows that were slightly more serious I was sucked in. :eek:

But Seth is cool and rather pretty so if it's on and I can be bothered to turn on the TV I'll watch it.

brain damage......and no boredom is not an excuse, just from watching a commercial i can tell id have more fun smashing my head against the wall than watching the OC
