Should the voting age be lowered to zero?

Ok, if you're born in the US you immediately and automatically become a US citizen. Shouldn't our youngest citizens have the same rights as our oldest? Why should the government discriminate against infants just because of their age? I say let the babies vote. Let them have their say on who their future will be entrusted to.

I prefer Big Bird... he stood by his friend even tho everyone 'Knew' he didn't exsist. and when it was proven that he was right, he wasn't smug at all.

besides, him and his running mate Grover has been all over the world. so they have a background in being emissaries.

Grover occasionally has delusions of being some kind of superhero. You don't need someone like that in office. He's too prone to get the nation involved in big unilateral overseas conflicts.

Why shouldn't Grover get us involved in unilateral overseas conflicts? His secretary of defense(almost assuredly Baby Bear, as they are good friends) is good friends with the famous Hero Guy, who can level whole armys with a sweep of his hand. And if we get another guy like Barney in office, I might just go and run myself.

On a serious note, the voting age should be lowered to zero. The fact that most children could beat up most adults clearly shows that we are more powerful than them, and should be given rights accordingly. I mean it's like the politicians are asking for a bunch of toddlers to be lying down in the streets, delaying ambulances, disheartening troops, and basically acting like lilly-livered, floor-flushing, yellow bellied flower smokers.

I know what to do. I'll sue the US for discriminating against age.

On a more or less serious note, why can you vote when you're 18, get an abortion at 18 (DAMN YOU IF YOU DO), star in adult movies when you're 18, smoke when you're 18 but you have to be 21 to drink. Does anyone see a problem with this?

No he likes sandy as a friend. Since I boycotted such a show I get my sources from the internet. All you have to do is search spongebob gay or is spongebob gay.

Now on what I saw, the creator claimed he didnt make him gay (I believe him) but on what i saw, 30% or so people living in US are over 18 and the gay people use him as an icon

They dont know who the father is, they dont show any parts like that on dolls, and they made a toy of her pregnant and she wasnt married but recalled it since the moms were getting mad. Oh no, I understand why she divorced Ken. Time to go on Maury and Judge Hatchet.

See, Barbie cheated on ken before their marriage with a third person I'll call Timmy, when she had found out she was pregnant she told ken who married her because he thought that it was his son/daughter/other but later took a dna test and found out. Later he got a divorce and you can probably find him at a certain bar.

That's pretty naive. Or just stupid. If 1 year old's could vote, politicians would simply bribe them with candy (which is kind of like what's happining now). They are just not smart enough to be entrusted with that much power. 18 is a good age to be entrusted with the power of democracy. There are probobly some kids who are below 18 but could vote (ME) but not enough to justify that much of an overhaul.

Voting age limits are good.... now there are those few children who are smart enough to make an informed decision COULD vote, but I guarantee you that those children are extremely rare. In my opinion, allowing young children to vote will only give the parents a second vote simply because young children will look to them for what is "appropriate" as far as who to vote for. I think the assumption is that those 18 and over have enough world experience to make their own judgements and come to their own conclusions past that of their own parents. But, really, considering the younger a person is, the less likely they are to vote, it may not even matter... I personally don't support children's sufferage because I personally believe that it will become a constitutional loophole for the parents to cast two ballots an election, and that is simply unfair.

There is no Constitutional provision or Federal law that requires electors to vote according to the results of the popular vote in their States. Some States, however, require electors to cast their votes according to the popular vote. These pledges fall into two categories -- electors bound by State law and those bound by pledges to political parties.

Which States bind electors to popular vote results? Refer to Electors Bound by State Law and Pledges to find out.

The Supreme Court has held that the Constitution does not require that electors be completely free to act as they choose and therefore, political parties may extract pledges from electors to vote for the parties' nominees. Some State laws provide that so-called "faithless electors" may be subject to fines or may be disqualified for casting an invalid vote and be replaced by a substitute elector. The Supreme Court has not specifically ruled on the question of whether pledges and penalties for failure to vote as pledged may be enforced under the Constitution. No elector has ever been prosecuted for failing to vote as pledged.

Today, it is rare for electors to disregard the popular vote by casting their electoral vote for someone other than their party's candidate. Electors generally hold a leadership position in their party or were chosen to recognize years of loyal service to the party. Throughout our history as a nation, more than 99 percent of electors have voted as pledged.

Source:
http://www.archives.gov/federal_register/electoral_college/faq.html#laws

Electors have to have a damn good reason to go against the people... their duty is to uphold the ideal that the citizens vote counts and if the electoral college was given supreme say over the election, then there would be no point to the popular vote at all... the electoral college DOES elect the president, but only by numbers of the electors in the states won do presidents lose the popular vote and win the presidency.
EDIT Because the work computers are stupid, I accidentally quoted myself in an edit... stupid...
