La Haide. Absolutely brilliant French film about riots against the police. Covers the story of three friends who are friends with a guy who was hospitalised by a policeman at a riot. Filmed in black and white and very good indeed.

Goodbye Lenin was GREAT! I also liked Shallow Grave, and Tais Toi- bloody funny; starring Gerard Depardieu and Jean Reno. :D

But I'm A Cheerleader (absolutely hilarious)
Old Boy was great, too.

And I can't really say "Good Bye Lenin" or "Run, Lola, Run". Here in Germany they were pretty big, but it's still a shame that stupid stuff like "Unser (T)Raumschiff" by the formerly magnificent comedian Bully gets more viewers.

I forgot to add in Bollywood movies, like Lagaan, which is one of my favourites of all time. South African films? Cry, The Beloved Country.

I also want to see Paljas, the only South African film to have been nominated for an Oscar.

La Haide...
I'm sorry to intervene but it's called 'La Haine', hatred in French. I have to agree, it's a great film.
