recently, former WWE superstar Ultimate Warrior recently gave a speach for the Collage Republicans at UConn.
here is an article about it:

Warrior decided to write a reply to it here:
http://www.411mania.com/wrestling/news/newsboard.php?news_id=11472

sometimes it makes me wonder....
any thoughts?

PS: before anyone lambasts about pro-wrestling, look at jesse ventura, who was also governer of minnesota, and also a harvard political professor

You expect us to believe that someone known as "WWE superstar Ultimate Warrior" can speak and write. ;)

He should have the freedom to say his stupid ideas, but I don't see why the students should not have the freedom of speech to question his statements.

Heheheheh.

When I read "put on a towel" I practically stood up, eliciting an interesting look from my roommate.

I can't imagine what I would do if I heard him say that live--the first amendment makes some damned fine points, but last I checked it didn't cover inciteful speech.

Yes, but he ought to be afforded the courtesy of finishing before others interject, no matter ho abhorrent his belief.

i know i have the saying 'the right to be heard doesnt mean you automatically have the right to be taken seriously', and what i have heard about Warrior, i would never take much of it seriously, but surly the CR at UConn should have had the forsight to see what he was going to say. then again, one of the things they were promoting about WrestleMania 21: Piper, Austin, live mics...... some people you cant control with a mic in their hand

explination: pro-wrestlers have gimmiks. some of them, it is their personality, turned way up. some, they portray a character. Warrior was half-way between. add a little insanity, then you get this.
