Basically, I was hoping this would sort of be a pooling of experiance.

Right- First off, my hermit crab has come out of his (her?) shell, and seems to be dieing. How can I get the damn thing back in?

Next, my girlfriend and I were going to invade the campus in 1920's clothes. My question was, what kind of hat would have been worn then by men? Fedoras seem a bit 30's to me, and I refuse to wear those foolish golf caps (and knickers. Don't even get me started on knickers.) Also, what male hair style was in fashion?

Right, if anyone has any questions they want answered, post and I'll try to help out. My area of expertise is history (especially Victorian and Medieval) and mythology, but I'll try to help out with anything.

You could put a new, bigger shell in with the crab. Chances are it'll move in.

I don't know what to tell you about the hermit crab. Maybe a vet? Actually a new hermit crab would be alot cheaper.

For the 20's clothing ideas you can rent the movie version of "The Great Gatsby".

I have no questions at this time. Thanks anyway.

they come out because they need a new shell, or are sick. get some empty shells of varying sizes and put them in the tank. then cover it up to keep it dim.

Got lots of shells, my crab does. Plenty of sizes. But I didn't know it needed to be dim...

then he just might be old, or sick. there usually is nothing you can do. how old/big is he? and how long have you had him?

they get big, and last a while. my buddy has had two for 5 years , and one is the size of a golfball.
