Komani

Personally I like hip-hop. Not the gangsta rubbish, but songs that actually have meaning (like many of 2Pac's).

I've probibly missed several types of music that people like, please don't bite my head off!

It depends what you mean by "Rock", whether it's American "Rawk!" [Bill Bailey] or what....

(That still cracks me up....... "Sent you a text on a Monday but it did not get through due to network problems then you texted me on the Wednesday...")

 i love Bill Bailey!

"I am death!
A winged beast
I am bourne on the velvet wings of night
And I'm hungry for a feast!
I am the nemesis of the vole
My heart as black as coal
You can kill me with a trowel
I am an owl!" :p

Out of the ones there Rock. But I chose other because my favourite would be Prog Metal. Also because I like far too wide a range. Includes soul, blues, jazz, techno, industrial, grunge, experimental, gothic etc etc

EDIT: Oh and yay for Bill Bailey :D

I voted "other"...simply because I consider "metal" to be a group on it's own, and not lumped in with "rock"

You used the word 'rubish'. That means you're British, right? I heard something once I can only describe as British Punk Rap. Vocally, the guy sounded much like someone from Prodigy. Musically, it was about as anti-musical as you can possibly imagine. Not only is there no melody, but there's not even any rythym. It sounded very strange. Do you have any idea who I'm talking about? And if so, do you like it? I only heard the one song once.

My favorite kind of music is symphonic metal, like Nightwish, Rhapsody, and Therion. I'm also a big fan of video game music.

Oh this is funny. My favorite music styles aren't in the poll options... No classical music, no folk and no metal... Tssk Tssk Tssk... I guess that puts me in "other" (Funny, "other" is winning)...

Basically, if it's got a sweet melody, I'll listen to it (now my definition of sweet ranges from vivaldi to finntroll, so it's a bit wide)

I'm pretty eclectic when it comes to music.

My two favourite current genres are rock and dance anthems. Although I'll like bits of pop, Jazz, even RnB and rap.

sounds like Garage to me. what a load of shite
i'm pretty open minded about my music and i can appreciate many styles even if i wouldn't ordinarily listen to them, but that is one style which just blows.

I dislike the word but semi "alternative". But I only really skim the surface. But I hope to hell that i'm not one of those teeny boppers who just likes it coz it's "cool". But so much music is good. I can really listen to almost anything.

[aside] Bill Bailey rocks and i managed to not go see him when he toured...closest place was about 3 hours away...Man, i live in the styx

Like John Ashcroft's album. Now that is music. His message is so strong, his CD should be classified as a "weapon of mass destruction"!

Why the HELL isn't classical up there? Classical is the most important music genres. As it's been around the longest, it takes MUCH more skill, it has a symphony of people (literally), and it sounds much better.

I have great respect and liking of classical music, but my favorite is as it's always been: Techno! Trance to be more specific.

Probably the lowest form of music (if you want to call it music), is Rap (sorry rap fans, but it's true). Although I absolutly hate rap, I have a lot more respect for R&B (even though I dislike it).

Other than my two most favs (techno and classical), and Rap being my most hated genre, every thing else basically is mediocre to me, and I'll listen to it with enjoyment if the band/artist is unique.
