WMDs Found In Fundamentalist State
New British Glory

Yes we have found WMDs in the clutches of a country who is incapable of controlling them and cannot be trusted in the world at large.
The name of this obscure state, I hear you clamour? This state, ladies and gentlemen, is called America and is actually capable of firing WMDs at the rest of the world within 45 minutes (or so my dossier says anyway).
Here's an artist's impression of America: we have been told it is 99% accurate
http://www.screensaverstudio.com/gfx/america.gif
Now our intelligence has been able to uncover some information on this new threat to world peace. Their leader, known only as Bush, is a religious fundamentalist who has disposed of the justice system in favour of trial by accusation and has disposed of his opposition by means of a cruel, murderous election. This is photo of Fuhrer Bush from our intelligence labs. Bush is also of low intelligence: we believe he is actually a poorly made Hollywoods effect robot who went on a ramage through a Republican conference and emerged to find itself their leader.
http://www.dorkinglabs.com/fim/45.jpg
Ladies and gentlemen, the world is under threat. America has already shown that it is willing to use its WMDs against us - the peoples of Japan and Vietnam hold testament to this sorry fact. Now as we speak our World Coalition bombers have been deployed to bomb America to high heaven in the name of freedom, democracy and some other liberal stuff that we dont really care about but are going to shove in anyway to make this whole war more appeasing to those peace niks back home.
Once we have taken their oil supplies and secured them for a necessary period of 60 years, we may MAY be able to strench ourselves to helping the sickm the dying etc etc. Now I know what you thinking - 60 years is an awfully short time in which to steal all the natives cash but please remember, we must show some humanity! After all these people have been living in a state where they charge you to use hospitals and allow the poor to die on the streets. They are going to need a long period of adaption before they can rejoin the civilised community.
God Bless Peace Out

I tell this to my History class... the best part of being American is that we get to complain about being American. Then in the same breath we can defend the very country we just slammed. It's the best part of the freedoms we were all given. We can slam the pres., talk redundant politics, or support everyone in gov. and bring up new and inspiring topics without fear of grevious bodily harm (patriot act non-withstanding)
Isn't that whats so great/irritating about America? :p
Lol. while i may not agre with the thead meaning, the delivery is humorous.

Representive hopefuls are allowed to only run on two platforms (Democrat or Republican) to have any chance of being elected. Once elected, they have no reason to follow through with what they promised on the campaign trail. Show me one politician who hasn't flipped / flopped after getting elected.
Also, remember, most voters form their opinions based on sensationalist media networks owned by giant corporations. Any semblence of true journalism is long since extict.
Once elected, a politician MUST follow his parties agenda for fear of commiting political suicide, also, once elected, he or she is no longer under the influence of the people, but big business and lobbying groups, else without campaign funds he or she has no chance of getting elected.

No it's not. Tyranny, by definition, would be complete control. You can't possibly make an argument that the Republicans are dicatators. Don't even try. You'd look really stupid if you did.

This has been demonstrated to be untrue. Besides, the Democratic and Republican parties both have people of diverse political ideologies. To say that two parties isn't enough to fit in the entire political spectrum is silly, because they do.

Sir, while I do respect your reply, I SEVERELY doubt such a claim. Even the Senator I work for, who I worship like a god, has flipped flopped on several issues.
When you are exposed to the inner workings of the government day after day, it is impossible not to see opinions change, or promises made to a pro-worker group, then a pro-business group. It's just the way it works.

From my knowledge of the english language (it's quite extensive) I'd say that you weren't. Even if you were, don't you think that's a pretty condescending thing to think? Tell me, how does one objectively conclude what is 'best'? What makes your idea of what is 'best' superior to mine?

Yeah, I'm sorry about this tyranny of the majority we live in called "Democracy". Things really should be different, but leave it to idiotic politicians to leave things as-is.
It sounds suspiciously as if you are saying that there is a 'tyranny of the majority' in our government. There's not too much to take out of context here.
It's still a tyranny of the majority, just with a few checks and balances to make sure one side doesn't get COMPLETE control.
Again, that meddling little phrase 'tyranny of the majority' pops up. My suspicion that you are (or were, before you realized that you were full of shit and backtracked while at the same time calling me an idiot), in fact, making an argument that there is a tyranny of the majority in our country is growing stronger.
When you said "Still, with the Democracy we're in, a lot of laws get passed that really shouldn't... Civil Rights, if you know what I mean." I didn't know what you were saying and I still don't. Are you trying to say that civil rights laws shouldn't have been passed? That's all that can reasonably be gotten from that sentance. Is it some clever remark? If you teach them to do things them selves. They become self reliant and dependable.
