In the Vatican, 400.000 thousand people a day pass in front of the corpse of the Pope to say him a last goodby, after waiting in line sometimes over 5 hours. Reporters in black ties speak of "Moving displays of Faith."

Now Imagine a similar number of people in Pyongyang, in front of the body of the "Great Leader". Those very same reporters (without the black tie) would speak of, im sure, of a "crushing personality cult".

Go figure.

The difference is that people are free to leave Catholicism, like I did. People aren't free to leave N. Korea. Catholics can disagree with and even criticize the pope. N. Koreans face prison or worse for doing the same to Lil' Kim.

What's wrong with the black tie?
