So i was at this gun show over the weekend and there was alot of cool stuff there, old WWII german and japanese rifles and swords. well there were tons of AR-15s there and a few AK-47s, well the AKs were romanian made, and they were only $350 USD i could have gotten two if I wanted, but my dad would not let me get one saying the government would be a little suspicious if a teenager owns a assult rifle or two. what are your thoughts.

The amount of teenagers I know that own AR-15's and semi auto AK's on the Internet, I doubt the government would be that concerned ;)

A little OT. A few days ago a couple kids in my neighborhood were harrassing a kid who lives a few doors down from my place. You know, the usual teenage bullshit. He started shouting back at them stuff like "I got AKs to back me up! Ever hear of the Crips!?!"

I thought it was funny. This kid's white, mainstream, middle class, and there are no Crips anywhere near Trenton NJ.

My friends from new york do not own a single red or blue garment because they are black and live in harlem, if they wore either they are liable to be shot by either gang, depending on the color of the clothes.

That's fucked up. I haven't gone to NY in a while. Back when I used to go there to buy coke I didn't see any, but that was years ago.

We recently got some bloods in Trenton. Fucking triggerhappy cowboy shit is turning neighborhoods that already had problems into a war zone.

My overwhelming german whiteness is made blinding by my snow-faced norwegian half.

As long as it's legal for you to own them, you'll just be stuck in a database that no one looks at--proveded you have to go through the background check.

If it's a person-to-person transfer, most places don't force any kind of check--so no listing in the database even.

Thanks to NICS, and the fact that most gunshow operators have tightened up a lot on smaller, non-licensed vendors, you'd end up on the Database at the very least.
In a lot of states, if you're under 18 you can't buy to begin with...

and, finally, the AK is more famous, and has a removeable magazine, but the SKS is a better buy as a rifle than the AK and its variants-it's more accurate, and costs less.

For $700, you can buy some really nice iron in most places.

Eh, I always thought it kinda wierd that a teenager could not own a pistol but could own a AK. In any case, I own a few rifles and I haven't had any trouble. I know several other pilots who own rifles too. Just remember though, it isn't a Assualt rifle until you use it as such.
